Occidental Jandía Royal Level - Adults Only

Just back from a great holiday. This was our fourth visit. We went to the Canario Restaurant most nights and the staff were fantastic, especially Marta and Christian. The Bar Verde is the best place to relax in the evening with a drink/cocktail. The staff were amazing especially Ac Hassane. We will definitely be back next year

This is our 8th year of coming to this hotel in October. We stayed in the Royal Level which is the adults only section of the hotel. In reception we were initially given room 156, however this room is much smaller than all the others and to be given this room was surprising as we told the receptionist how many times we had visited. We later found out that another regular 2 guests were also given this room and declined it as well as us. It was also sad to see that more of the regular staff had been moved in to the dining room in the other part of the hotel. New waiters, who were obviously new to the job, were placed in the Royal Level restaurant who were not as competent. Luckily Elena was still working there and she served us in an excellent manner. Despite these observations we had a lovely time. The food was excellent and we also enjoyed the à la carte dining option of which we would like to be available 7 evenings a week. Marta was as lovely and competent as always and assisted by the gorgeous Christian! I confess I did resort to putting our towels down earlier than usual as the sun-beds were going quickly!

We chose the "Royals" to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, having holidayed 4 times previously and never being disappointed, and this one was fabulous once again. We'd like to thank Marianna, most sincerely, for all the effort she went to to make our special anniversary so special - our room choice, our a la carte reservation and the lovely surprises she'd put in place for us, and the lovely champagne delivery to our room - you truely are a huge asset to the Royals, and it was so nice that we got the opportunity to thank you personally before we left yesterday. Special mentions also to Marta in the a la carte and to Elena in the Atlantico - the service you provide is first class, thank you. We also enjoyed our evenings in the Bar Verde - the selection of drinks and the occasional entertainment nights made for lovely evenings - before and after our a la carte/atlantico dinners. In all we had a very memorable and first class week, we are already planning our 6th visit for next spring. Thank you all. Xx

Excellent staff throughout the hotel who go the extra mile. High food quality with lots of choice for everybody.

The Occidental Jandia playa is a very big hotel, but choosing the Royal Level is rather like choosing Business class and turning left as you get on the plane. It starts with your own private checking area, and a much more friendly and relaxed process that was. With a glass of cava to welcome you to the hotel. This set the tone for our week. Most importantly for us the Royal Level is a true adults only although the rest of the hotel does allow children as everything you need is in your own Royal Level area then you are only amongst adults. We were given a ground floor room with access to one of the Royal Level Terraces with plenty of loungers umbrellas and bar, along with a relaxing pool. However we tended to use the other Royal Level that had the 3 pools, swimming, hydro and wading. Again there were always sun beds or cabanas free, all were padded for extra comfort. Unlike the main hotel towels were provided in your room and could be changed at the pool area. The bar provided a great range of drinks, cocktails, premium, wines and beers all included in your premium all inclusive package. Food was served in the restaurant in this area and was always very high quality with lots of choice. Always something being cooked fresh to order. On top of this we were given the option of several nights in the special themed restaurant, again restricted to Royal Level Guests. This food and service was also excellent and provided a more intimate and personal dinner. We wanted a holiday to relax and do nothing and the Occidental Royal Level provided just that. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Special mention must also be given to how clean the hotel was, it was spotless all the cleaning staff doing a fantastic and extremely thorough job. Another special area was the Green Bar, yes you guessed it Royal residents only. This was a great place to spend the evenings, and the staff here definitely mixed the best cocktails. You could use the spa 2 hours per day, but given that we were at the top and the spa at the bottom, were just to lazy, and with the bubble pool coming 9n every hour for 20 minutes then really was no need unless you fancied some treatments. There was entertainment on every evening in the main theatre will all the hotel guests, and occasional singers and musicians in either the green bar or the roof terrace. During the week we did catch a bus 8th Morro Jabble, this was extremely easy as there is a bus stop on the main road at the bottom and it only costs €1.40 each way. Best to get off when you reach the hotels and shops, not a lot else 8n the town apart from some amazing beaches. Altogether this was an amazing stay at an amazing hotel where you are made to feel very special. But you must book into the Royal Level. Top tip: Rooms 140-155 are in the block near the pools and restaurant. Rooms 101 - 139 are on the Royal roof terrace

Late summer holidays to relax as a couple after a very tough few months after the loss of my mother.

5 years I’ve been coming here, this is the final straw. Staff over worked . Food poisoning in royal level . Took hour to get served, on night two staff to make drinks and serve and take orders . Never again so sad I won’t be going back ..

No wonder people return time and time again. Large room with comfortable bed and kept very clean, great drinks in fridge, water replenished daily. Food at Royal Level amazing, best I've had at AI. Padded loungers and bali beds around the pool, and although some are "reserved" first thing in am, you can still find a spare lounger later in the day. Entertainment in main part of hotel hit/miss. In Royal Level bar, ainger/musician only couple times a week, otherwise it's quietly piped music....which means you can talk and be heard, but doesn't give much atmosphere. Good job drinks are top notch!. Hotel is built into a hill, quite a walk to beach (harder uphill on way back). 2 hour transfer on coach arriving, just 1.5 hours when leaving. Overall, would stay again.

Had the best 3rd visit to this hotel, great staff, very attentive, food was brilliant with a wide selection to all pallets, drinks selection was incredible.

The "Occidental Playa Jandi Royal level" as it is called now was a really nice stay. We had a junior suite with two rooms und this was really great. However during check-in we were given a junior suite im the "normal wing" just next to the reception and directly above the "theater", where the nighly show was performed (including after-show-dj on some days). We would have been able to use the royal level pool and restaurant, but there was a possibility to have litte children next or above to us, while we thought to have booked an "adult-only" stay... After some complaining at the royal level reception we where relocated to the real "royal-level-wing", which was mostly because Marianna Caminito the guest experience manager got involved. After that the stay was really great. Special thanks to the green bar staff, which did a really great job every evening.
