ibis Styles Bordeaux Meriadeck

Hotel is quite a bit out of the downtown district, but does have a tram station close by that makes it possible to get to the center of town in about 30 minutes. Rooms are small, but adequate. Decent rate as hotels in Bordeaux can be quite expense. Good value if you don't mind the commute. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but I wouldn't call it unsafe.

The hotel was convenient to the excellent tram system for Bordeaux with a car park which is a bonus(but there is only one lift to go to -2 level of parking to get the car). The room was poor. Only one bedside table, very odd design features, plastic curtains etc. The bed was awful - mattress very old..Breakfast was mediocre. The coffee tasted of not much and the bread and pastries very poor quality.The rooms were well cleaned, but the front desk service was not very helpful - I've booked a double bed room and we received a twin bed room, after we talked with help desk we get a double room. I certainly would not stay there again for a weekend.

as is usual in europe hotels won't turn on the heat unless it's officially the time to do it on schedule. We had a cold front for the past weeks in northern france, some nites it was as cold 50F and still they wouldn't turn on the heat. I had to ask for extra blankets. Very unpleasant. The hotel is also far away from the city center. gotta take the tram that luckily stops very close to the hotel. Also there are not many restaurants nearby. So thanks for the tram or this hotel would be cut off from civilization. The area is safe but very few people walk there. Better stay closer to city center.

Very good experience, one that I extended from 2-5 days. With the tram outside and it's walking distance to the cathedral and town center it was great. Finally, when I was leaving for check out it was a problem with my credit card and of course I was rushing to get to a train. The hotel manager kindly took all of my information and told me I could wire the balance as soon as I contacted my bank ( where the funds were certainly available lol). That couldn't happen in the United States so I give Ibis thumbs up

Checking in was quick and easy. Staff were friendly, room was clean and neat. Window had 2 layers of double glazing so the room was completely silent.

Usual standard Ibis Styles Hotel, 10 mins walk from cirty centre, off street parking either at road side or in the underground hotel car park. Good place to stay for a night if using a car and on business and you want easy parking with only a short walk into the town centre.

Great hotel near the city with breakfast included at a great price! What more can you ask.

Close to everything in this wonderful city.

The hotel is not in the best location but it's very close to a tram stop which takes you in 10 to 20 minutes to all the main areas of Bordeaux. The hotel lobby is spacious with a large breakfast area, the continental breakfast was included with the price so I can't complain about that. Overall the hotel and room was clean, the only thing I didn't like was that the hallway where my room was located smelled as if someone had just stopped smoking and I felt that my room also smelled a little bit as if someone had smoked. The majority of french citizens are heavy smokers so I guess that was the reason for the smoking smell. Overall you can't beat the price, I would stay again if I was trying to save money for a one to two night stay.

The service was outstanding and the breakfast was excellent. When I was there, several strikes and protests were going on. The service team in the hotel worked with us to find suitable alternatives to day trips and in general was helpful and responsive. The room was a good size and I enjoyed that the hotel was a bit outside, yet conveniently located close to the tram.
