Kanuni Kervansaray Historical Hotel

location is wonderful, only one center of the center.. 10 meters to marina. 100 meter to city bazaar.. cleaning is okey. breakfast is over average, you can full your stomach but not too much delicious.. wifi is not working in some rooms.

Overall a pretty hotel in a historic building. However, it took too long to finally have a convenient room because the AC was not working properly. After insisting,we've got upgraded in a superb suite. The manager didn't care about the customer service. The young lady at the front desk solved our problem very kindly.

We stayed only one night as we had to stay in Çeşme on our way to Chios, Greece; our ferry cancelled because of the storm. To be honest it is interesting place as iti is a real Ottoman Kervansaray. The toilet and bathroom is built in the room as seperate booth but it is OK. We liked it, during summer high ceilings may help against hot weather. It's location is very central.

The hotel is a renovated traditional caravanseray and our room was small but well equipped with a nice bathroom and a tiny window. Unfortunately the management does not seem to know what to do with this asset. For the 4 nights we stayed, there was loud live music from the roof bar until 1AM so no way to sleep even with eartaps. The staff looks continuously angry and they provide service with reluctance. Dirty glasses/cups and ashtrays remain on tables for a day or so.The Wifi system works only around the lobby. Unlike what was promised to us, difficult to obtain breakfast at 7AM on our last day, as the cook simply did not want to bring even bread and coffee. Buffet breakfast with large variety of Turkish dishes (from 8AM). There is also a small pool - mostly for children - and a hamman / massage faciltiy in-house which you can access without being a hotel guest. Overall the quality/price ratio was outrageous, even for Cesme. Save your money, enjoy the roof bar or the hammam, but do not stay in the hotel !

Although we did not stay here, we had the most amazing Turkish bath. Mursel and Lana gave us one of the most amazing experiences ever. We had the traditional Turkish bath and then a massage. If you are in the area and looking for a relaxing and fun experience, go check this out!

We had 4 fantastic days at this Hotel. The suits we had was just as we hoped for. The hole staff and the Manager gave us the wery best of service and flexibility , and a combination of comfort and historical experiance. The location close to the Marina gave the stay an additional positive impression. We can recomand this stay to everyone that visit Cesme. Best reguards the Norwegian couple.

The hotel is a superb building and reflects its historic origins well...its the sort of place that passers by walk into to view and photograph. It is located just off the seafront, but away from the busy tourist streets. The accomodation is as indicated, with even the 'standard' rooms having a luxuriant quality to them. The reception staff are excellent in all respects. It is only the breakfast/poolside staff who are disappointing - very scruffy and poor service. If the breakfast was better and the poolside service more organised, this would be a truly great hotel.

We came from a lovely trip from Bodrum to Cesme and stayed at this hotel which is centrally located next to the marina and downtown area and is very historic - which were the reasons I booked this hotel and unfortunately those were the only good points about this hotel. Rooms were smelly because there was only small window opening to courtyard and bathroom was a small enclosure within the room. We constantly had to call maintenance guy to repair lightning in bathroom - once we even waited half hour in order to take shower because the lights were not working.Rooms were small but clean. We constantly had to ask for things as they would not replace enough towels or shampoo etc. in room. probably the biggest disappointment was the service at hotel. While most staff was cordial there was one guy at reception who not only was rude but also very condescending. When on vacation I appreciate if staff is helpful and accommodating and here unfortunately they were the opposite. I enjoyed Cesme but next trip I will definitely stay someplace else.
