Trinco Blu by Cinnamon

We stayed for one night. We had to choose between a la carte and buffet menus as a group so that we could sit together over dinner. There were no towels in our rooms and I had to call down 3 times in order to get towels so that I could have a shower. Very disappointing!

The food was fantastic. In the mornings you could walk on the beach and watch the fishermen bring their catch in. It's not a totally empty/quiet beach as there are a small handful of boats and people walking about. There's also a dive shop in the hotel premises if that's your thing.

Nice hotel right on beach. All other hotels on the beach look more like guesthouses...

Nice hotel with a nice infrastructure. Could soon do with a bit of refurbishment as deck chairs, cushions and other are somehow worn down. Very good restaurant and evening buffet. Friendly staff as in most places in Sri Lanka.

Three days at Chaya Blu were heaven! It was sad to leave this chic hotel on the gorgeous Uppuveli Beach near Trincomalee. We stayed in a beach chalet which was lovely although request a downstairs chalet which opens right out onto the sand. The staff are so hospitable and even though the hotel is quite big, they took the time to give us an very personal experience. A special mention to Kenneth the restaurant and bar manager who went out of his way to look after us.

We had a very good time at the hotel. One night we had very delious Crab night it wan't forget from us.

Staff welcoming and very helpful. Food excellent and lots of choice particularly the buffets.a la carte menu also excellent and reasonably priced. Some stray dogs on the beach but not really a nuisance. Hotel trip prices were expensive but able to book same trips locally and cheaper. Had BBQ on beach on our last night but there was far too much food! Only criticism was that there was no shaded areas around the pool. Fernandos bar along the beach was great with cheaper alcohol prices.

Perfect holiday spent in a beautiful hotel right on the beach. Plenty to do watching the fishermen, great swimming pool or swimming in the warm sea. We went on the hotel's whale watching trip and our boat was surrounded by whales. Too many to count. Nice walk along the lane at the entrance to the hotel.
