Villa Gonatouki

Our comfort room was not in he best shape and was not clean. Many hairs of the dogs on he floor, dirty courtains. The room needed some repairs after we arrived.

Wonderful place, great pool, amazing staff and a great place to unwind.

Large stylish Riad with 2 heated swimming pools. Access is the worst aspect, down an unmade track but well worth the effort. Charming French owner with good English. Staff friendly and helpful. Recommended for a base for this part of Morocco if you have a car.

We arrived here after celebrating my 60th in Marakesh and what a haven. We were greeted by Bruno, the owner, a lovely man who made us so welcome and were shown around the house, which is truely amazing. We had a two year old with us who is into everything but never once did we have to apologise for her. The staff were all very friendly and the rooms spacious and interesting. We took three rooms which all shared the same terrace which was very handy. My daughter had the best massage she said she had ever had. Breakfast was delicious as was dinner. I cannot fault this Villa and it is very rare for us to go to the same place more than once but I would happily go back there year after year. We were all very sad to leave.

My wife and self second visit to Morocco and this hotel made the perfect start. Bruno the owner and his team were polite, helpful and willing to assist at all times. Bruno, the owner saved our holiday from becoming a disaster and having to return to UK as I had left necessary medication at home and without hesitation had a member of his staff travel to the town and purchase much needed pills Food and service were excellent at all times

An oasis of comfort and tranquility, we arrived from Marrakesh and instantly loved this huge spacious villa. It is immaculate and well kept by Monsieur Bruno and his fabulous team, nothing is any trouble from kids wanting chips to a lift into Essouria....Bruno gave us maps and directions along with tips for restaurants and shopping...we enjoyed an incredibly high standard of four course dinners and the staff are always smiling and happy to see you. I can't recommend this wonderful place enough..We will definitely return.

We had a thoroughly wonderful 5 days at Villa Gonatouki and would definitely recommend it to all types, as it caters for couples, families & large groups. Bruno has built up the Vila, which is stunning and runs it himself to great effect; he will gladly sort all your needs and is a remarkable host with lots of stories to entertain you with. The rooms are brilliantly decorated and the balconies with seated areas and large tables capture the sunlight most of the day. The 2 pools are lovely, if a little chilly but the ‘indoor outdoor’ pool provides great views over to the coastline. The food is amazing and a quality you would expect at high end restaurants! The homemade breads were delicious at breakfast  The room we stayed in was beautiful & spacious with a very large bathroom and sun terrace which was perfect for sunbathing in the afternoons.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Gonatouki... the hotel itself was lovely, the rooms were excellent and the staff were extremely accommodating to our every need. This hotel has a very personal feel and we would recommend it to anybody travelling through Essaouira unreservedly; you will not be disappointed.

After a 4 days stay in hectic Marrakesh and a quick 2 days excurision via the unmissable Atlas near Asni, we were desperate for a 'do nothing' scenario. Villa Gonatuki offered exactly that. Don't worry, finding it will be a challenge, as many places in Morocco, once there, you wil forget all about it. The man of the house was unable to host us on our dates but regardless, his staff were very able and ever so kind to meet each and every request.
