Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

A lovely spot to spend a week in Tucson. Casita was very spacious with a kitchen and patio (great for sunsets), comfortable bed and large bathroom. We will definitely be staying at Hacienda del Sol again.

Very beautiful resort with lovely rooms and facilities. The waiters were excellent and the restaurant food and drinks were great. However, we experienced a several points of friction: - Both treadmills in the fitness center were broken the duration of our stay - Pools would occasionally be closed for activities, but we were never told where to find that information - Our coffee maker was broken the entirety of our stay. The staff we reached out to suggested we "get coffee from the lobby" (which would require walking quite a ways outside) - One of the pools had a significant number of dead flies in the evening. Maybe this is normal for Arizona, but I was shocked to see a member of the facilities team walk by without doing anything about it.

Stunning property, charming historic rooms and wonderful pools to relax in. Highly recommend a stay while in Tucson seeing Saguaro NP.

Historic buildings were very charming . Staff interactions varied widely , from excellent to arrogant. It also seemed that initially was given the very worst room out of 90, perhaps as did not book directly with property . Food was good, and restaurant outlets very good.

Initial room was terribly noisy , as a major HVAC intake directly above my door . Vibration was so strong, water in a glass inside room was shaking . ( room 17) please don’t book this room or 18 next door . Every time. I used restaurant, (five times in three days ) was made to wait . Even with reservation, even when no one else there ( like breakfast) clearly this is a trained procedure, just made me feel uncomfortable.

We visited Hacienda del Sol again after many years away from Tucson to hold a small wedding ceremony. The property has become even more beautiful over the years since our last visit, and the staff were all incredibly friendly, welcoming, professional and helpful throughout our stay. When we needed to develop a "plan B" for the actual ceremony Juliette Manuel, Conference Services Manager went out of her way to make sure we had a beautiful venue for our small wedding. Location, ambience, attention to detail, super welcoming vibe... there is ABSOLUTELY nothing not to like about Hacienda del Sol.

This resort is a must stay if you are in Tucson. We loved our stay here. The only complaint I have is that none of the cocktails we ordered were particularly outstanding even though the prices were particularly high! Not even the margaritas - which I would have expected to be good because of Tucson's proximity to Mexico.
