Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort

The Hacienda del Sol is a truly magical place! Loved its historic charm, its beautiful landscaping, its three pools with tremendous mountain views. Enjoyed breakfast every morning looking out the wide picture windows, had a fantastic facial at the spa, and sipped several tasty margaritas. Thoughtful touches like activities and well-curated gift shop add to the luxurious but relaxed desert vibe. Can't wait to return!

We booked the Grill Room for Easter Brunch for 4 adults and a baby. Even though the baby didn’t pay or eat, she was counted as a fifth person, so we got stuck in a ballroom buffet with zero atmosphere and below average food. It was very disappointed and overpriced. Breakfast is also a buffet with average food. Pools are small. Not a lot to do.

This is the sort of historic inn I love going to. It has loads of story - and is thoughtfully run with amenities galore. From the games and puzzles on the lawn and in the library, to the three pools and hot tubs, to the cheeky drink menu at the restaurant with themed drinks, this place has all the right touches. The staff was ready to address any minor problem when brought to their attention promptly and with grace. The Mountain View from the balcony of our place in the D building was a stunner and put a smile on our face every day of our stay! The whimsical sculpture and artwork throughout the property made strolling around the place a pleasure.

Our stay at the Hacienda del Sol was wonderful. The location of the property was perfect - not too far from downtown and the University but close to the beautiful nature that surrounds Tucson. The property's ground are beautifully maintained with many spots throughout to relax. The restaurants and bar food was delicious and the service top notch. Our room was so charming and comfortable and with a spectacular view of the mountains right off our patio. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and welcomed. All were so friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back soon!

This is a beautiful, historic and well-managed property. We had a lovely one week stay, our Sonoran king room was very clean, comfortable and exactly as pictured, with a gorgeous view of the Catalina Mountains from our balcony. Some of the rooms are historic and others are more newly built. We requested a microwave in our room for heating leftovers. Time was spent at each of the three pool areas, all have ample seating and umbrellas to provide shade. The jacuzzi and pool temperatures were just right. The courtyards and gardens are stunning, with a variety of native and other colorful plants, plus many interesting sculptures. There was lots of seating in these areas as well, both sun and shade. The two restaurants are side by side and conveniently located. It’s easy to make online reservations. The breakfast Green Corn Tamales were fabulous. We have relatives in the area and will stay here again on our next visit.

Room was amazing- we upgraded to one w a balcony. Had a great time all around, dinner at the Grill was also a highlight

The place is beautiful, nicely located, well kept and the rooms are great. Service at the restaurant was sub par and the food was a letdown as well. The resort also hosted several functions during our stay, including a wedding, which only served to increase the service issues. If it wants to be a catering facility, it can’t be a five star resort.
