Hotel Tugu Malang

Almost perfect. Beautiful hotel in excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff. The museum on site is amazing. Room small but comfortable. Internet good. Complimentary 15 minutes massage and free afternoon tea were awesome. Only minor point we were offered a welcome drink, asked for ginger tea, and it didn't arrive despite chasing it up. Would recommend.

Stayed at Tugu for 2 weeks. The staff were attentive. Rooms were clean, and came with complimentary water and fruits. Tea time delicacies were much appreciated. Overal, great atmosphere to get work done. only negative were the mosquitoes, though hard to keep them away in a tropical place. I will highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is great, the only thing is that their tours to Bromo are a bit on the expensive side and their beds are not that big. Apart from that, everything was great!

Tugu Hotel is located in the middle of Malang City. Excellent service render by Hotel staffs. Hotel is like a museum of Indonesian culture display and it will be good to spend 1-2 hours to view their exhibition. Not much choice for Breakfast but you can order from their breakfast menu. There were farewell gift from Hotel when you check out. Overall, excellent and will stay in this Hotel again!

What an amazing place! Absolutely beautiful! Free tea and coffee every afternoon with snacks. Rooms are simply incredible.

The hotel decoration in the room somewhat look haunting for Asian people like me but is probably what non-Asian guest likes. The air-condition does not seem to function properly as the air inside the room was slightly humid. However, the hotel staffs are very friendly and attentive. The food offered in this hotel is quite great and I can feel authentic taste of Indonesian food.

This hotel is a resort, tucked away in the city. Behind its walls you escape the noise of the streets. The pool & restaurant are great, and the service is exceptional. The hotel is also a mini museum. After the hectic travel and noises of Indonesia, this is like an escape to Bali. As a world traveller I find I rarely leave this type of review. But this place is very inexpensive (during the rainy season) for the value. Great people and great hotel.

We enjoyed our stay - great character but thought the service and hotel rooms were a quite jaded. The staff whilst helpful seemed quite overworked and were lacking the normal Indonesian warmth. The food at the restaurant was great but the service was almost non-existent. The rooms and buildings were rather run down. High tea was very enjoyable. A bit hit and miss really - more 3.5 (definitely not 5) star.

The Tugu and staff are perfection personified. It does not get much better. A wonderful Hotel.
