"In the place to be"

10.0

Location of this place is amazing. the restaurant is quality without being over formal. We did not had a chance to be disappointed because everything was smooth from the moment we came up until we finish. We don’t even know what dosh to recommend as all the food came to our table were delightful. Our host, Saleh arranged and served us in one of the best hospitality ways. This place is simply magnificent.

"Very disappointing "

2.0

We booked two nights here and arrived to find out that they had given our rooms to someone else! While they kicked that person out, the stay did not start well! When we finally got to our room it was on the first floor (room 104) and smelt like pizza because it was next to the kitchen. Even though the kitchen wasn’t operating it was still loud. We then moved rooms and while this was an improvement any room on the first floor smells like the kitchen. To make matters worse during the night a generator kicked in keeping everyone awake! The final insult was how rude the waitress was at breakfast on our final day. The only good point I can say is the location is amazing!

We were upgraded to a suite which was super nice od management as there was a wedding that night and they wanted to make sure that the niise does not bother us. Breakfast could be improved as everything on the buffet is cold.

"Location Location"

8.0

This hotel is perfectly situated next to the old harbour. You can easily walk anywhere. The hotel itself is kept up well. The rooms are above average though they could use a bit of refreshing. Breakfast is decent. But when it comes down to it, it's the location that makes this hotel so special. Try to get a room overlooking the sea. Sunsets are spectacular.

"Lovely Spot for a Quick Visit"

8.0

Stayed here for two nights while exploring Byblos/Batroun/Qadisha Valley, wanting a different perspective outside of Beirut and to cut down on car time. Hotel is in the perfect location right on the harbor. Booked a Junior Suite with a sea view, which was very comfortable and spacious and had a balcony overlooking the sea. Very cozy, private, and quiet — and the bed was phenomenal! Perfect for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast room is super cute and has stunning views over the harbor. The breakfast spread is extensive, and they were happy to make hot options too. Service was good everywhere. Only complaint would be the spotty WiFi as it only worked sometimes in the room. We stayed here in the winter when it was pouring the entire time and the location allowed us to walk into old town in less than 5 minutes to grab dinner each night. Would highly recommend this hotel - imagine it would be quite a fun scene in the summer!

"What a view!"

10.0

We were in Byblos recently and despite the political turmoil it could not have been more tranquil. The hotel was very quiet due to current events but our room was outstanding! Admittedly it was the the Ambassador suite booked for my 60th birthday but it was fabulous. Beautiful room, lovely balcony and sea views all round. Well worth the money and I reckon you can probably get a good rate at present if you’re willing to give Lebanon a chance. If you go to Byblos, and you should, stay here.

The sea view room was very nice. The best part of this experience was the location. Walkable to an amazing market and great outdoor pub night life.

"A gem in an ancient city"

10.0

We stayed at this hotel for five nights in October, and had a lovely time. Our room, a superior room without a balcony, but overlooking the sea, was fabulous. Large comfy bed, great shower, free safe, complimentary bottles of water, beautifully decorated, and it was immaculately clean. The buffet-style breakfast, served in the restaurant overlooking the harbour and Byblos ruins, was terrific. Lots of Lebanese fare, as well as cereal and pastries, and a chef will prepare eggs and Lebanese Manoushe with zaatar and cheese, which was just gorgeous. The hotel has a ‘beach club’ across the road, where they have sun beds and shades, and steps down into the sea. It’s a bit like sunbathing in a car-park, to be honest, but once you’re facing the sea, it’s fine! There is a small swimming pool, but this was empty, as the Summer season had officially ended when we stayed there, although the weather was nice by our British standards. Commendably, the staff were not phased by our request for beds, towels, and shade on a sunny morning when they were otherwise engaged in setting up for a wedding the following day. There is a public beach a minute or two walk from the hotel too. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and attentive. We were quite concerned about our trip back to Beirut Airport for our flight home, because of the #LebanonProtests demonstrations, but they spoke to the taxi company on our behalf, and everything went smoothly with the transfer. Our only slight criticism is that our wifi was awful, we told one of the blokes on reception about it, and he said he’d send someone to check it, but nothing happened, and we ended up using the wifi from the router on the floor below ours. But this is a minor grumble, given how spot-on everything else was. The location of this hotel really couldn’t be better, it overlooks the harbour, and you’re minutes walk from fabulous restaurants, the Old Souk, and the famous Byblos ruins. I’d have no hesitation in recommending this beautiful hotel, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
