Hampton Inn and Suites Swansboro Near Camp Lejeune

Property in overall nice condition. Checked into a large suite. Overall decently clean. Carpets were stained but to be expected. Windows & doors in hallways were kinda grimey & not cleaned during my stay (only 3 nights). Sizeable breakfast with options. Pool was busy with kids when arrived & seemed pretty clean from afar. Ample parking. Would come back if in the area.

First time stay at this Hampton Inn, but definitely will not be my last! Most kind, friendly, accommodating staff I’ve ever run across! I’ve been a rewards member of another chain, but this weekend has made me think twice about switching to Hilton! Breakfast is phenomenal. Food allergy folks, they even have almond milk and gluten free options!! Meredith actually went out to buy a customer gluten free bagels this morning! Now, that’s southern hospitality! Super excited to hear this hotel will be receiving a big upgrade come October. I’m already booking for next summer! Don’t want to say too much more or all the rooms will be booked! Thank you Hampton Inn, the weekend after my brother’s funeral was filled with much kindness!

After travelling all day with my parents, we got to our destination of the Hampton Inn Swansboro, my father has health issues and we inquired about a chair for my dad. Well, little did we know we ended up with the BEST employee ever, Jimmy, and he did one better than finding a chair, he upgraded us to a suite with a couch for my dad to sleep on. Jimmy was the Rockstar, Cassie the manager was just wonderful, and I met Mary, the sweetest housekeeper. The hotel was super clean, the breakfast was great, and the employees were the stars. I highly recommend the hotel if you are stopping in the area.

Breakfast was good. The location was good. The staff was wonderful. The hotel only charged us for the one night because of all the issues.

The first night was horrible because the air conditioning went out in the room and all of us could not sleep because it was so hot in the room. Next morning went to the front desk and complained about the air in the room. They sent maintenance but did not correct the problem, so they moved up to another room and the air conditioning worked great. The elevators also were not working the next morning which was horrible since we were on the forth floor and had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs all morning. The power went out and they had no back up generators.

The pool was closed while we were there. The washer and dryer on the second floor was out of order so we had to wait to use the one on the third floor. The elevator was noisy. However the property and hotel were we clean.

Everyone at this hotel was extremely helpful and so nice. The front desk staff was exceptional. I will definitely stay here again.

I DO NOT RECCOMMEND STAYING HERE!! The headboard fell on me and my 6-year-old as we were sleeping. Not to worry the staff was so very unhelpful. They never came to check on us and never even came to see the room. They did, however "upgrade" our room to only one king bed for 4 people. It also was a dirty room. It had hair in the tub, was dusty, and the sinks were disgusting. The light in the bathroom also was flickering when cut on. I didn't want to take the chance of the headboard falling on us yet again or worse happening. Nobody at all tried to fix this or make it better but the CEO "extended a gesture of goodwill of 50k Hilton points." So when you stay you may want to sleep with your babies because had both of mine been alone instead of with an adult it would have been very bad. There is also a hole in the floor of the one working elevator that already makes a horrid sound as the door opens. So I highly suggest not staying at this location.

The elevators need to be replaced. OLD
