Hampton Inn and Suites Swansboro Near Camp Lejeune

I’ve stayed at this property about 15 times over the last 3 years. It’s looking run down with broken tiles, squeaky elevator, and scratches on furniture. Staff nice but I hate that they hide in the back and I can’t check in quickly. I usually lie in the breakfast room to wait for someone to appear after calling out a few times.

There was a sign of roaches! The elevator made a horrible noise when the door opened and closed. An employee told us it was because the owner put in a cheap elevator. The water in the shower did not have a very good stream, not much water pressure.

The staff was amazing!! The facilities were okay

Needs maintenance done. Only have one elevator working. We were there a month before and the elevator was not working then. They only had one ice maker working on one floor as well. It’s a nice place to stay however it needs maintenance work.

Wonderful experience the staff was very friendly and very welcoming.

The location was okay.

Better staff friendliness and Tommy need to be cleaned more into depth.

Upon arriving, the attendant was on her phone with her AirPods in when I tried to check in. It took another team member physically making contact with her to get her attention. We didn’t have enough towels or blankets. When I went downstairs, the attendant let me know that we were lucky to get a blanket. Beyond our experiences with the front desk attendant, our room wreaked of men’s cologne each time the air kicked on. I ended up sleeping in the car because of the impact the smell had on my health. I never want to experience another night like that.

The lobby an staff were great

Jimmy is an awesome employee. He went above and beyond to give great service in representing Hampton Inn. I observed him being very courteous and attentive to everyone’s needs including me, even when he was really busy. He even called me to ask about an item that was left behind in my room and described it to me. I’ve stayed here several times and he is definitely the best employee of Hampton Inn I’ve encountered. Jimmy should be training all of your employees on how to treat your customers. He is definitely a people person who gives Hampton Inn his best every day and it just comes natural to him.
