High Grassings Country House

Everything: Quiet location, Great room, Clean, Great local walk to Tarn Hows, Breakfast exceptional and Great owners that create a welcoming atmosphere.

Nothing to dislike

Stayed a few months ago, lovely cosy country property with nice views and beautiful surrounding land. A car would be needed but that’s expected in Lake District. The room had all the amenities needed for a few days stay. Nicely decorated. Comfy bed. Good size bathroom & decent shower. Hosts were lovely, helpful and very informative re. Things to do and near by eateries & walks. Cooked Breakfast was fab and filling - also had a small selection of continental. We were very lucky with the weather but tipped down last day so made our way home early due to not being able to walk well after Helvelyn climb 🤣. Would love to stay again if we return to Lake District.

Location in the heart of the Lake District

Really enjoyed our stay, the hosts were very nice and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with everything you needed. It was so quiet and relaxing and the views were magnificent from our bedroom windows. The cooked breakfast was great, and we both really enjoyed it.

The property is extremely clean, family vibes, the views are picturesque and the rooms themselves are relaxing and so beautifully decorated. The breakfast was personal your taste and needs. Very knowledgeable and helpful in activities or walks to take part in. There’s loads of walks and towns to visit and see, the food are from local farms and butchers. The air is so clean, was so good leaving London to here. There was a problem where we had caused some damage to the property and I can’t even begin to talk about how it was handled and sorted, I really can’t thank them enough. Perfect just perfect.
