Good Breakfast, Very friendly staff (even the peacock)

The Weather. Everything else was spot on.

Lovely property and lovely welcoming owners .

The location was excellent. Away from the hustle and bustle but within reach of Hawkshead and Coniston. The views of the countryside are dreamy. The room itself was very comfy, the bed sheets and towels were very soft and luxurious! David and Kerry were lovely hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was always served with a smile.

Our only concern was that the tap and shower were quite noisy.

Although there was a two seater sofa in room it was not comfy to sit on and tiny tv ….. unfortunately weather was not too good so could of done with a bit more comfort in room …. But all in all we would go back but ask for room above the dining room .

Perfect place for a getaway. We were warmly welcomed by the host who straight away recommended places to go for dinner. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the countryside. We had a full English cooked for us which was spot on as we departed to climb scafell. We definitely would stay at this hotel again when we next visit the lakes
