The Old Hall Inn

Great place to stay. Pub and food lovely. Good breakfast included.

Room was above the entrance of the bar and outdoor seating. It was noisy until late at night and from early in the morning.

It has a lot of character. It is in 2 old buildings, one was an old hall and the other was a paper mill. It is in a beautiful part of the country, in the Peak District National Park.

Difficult to find a parking space at weekends. The room was noisy as above the bars. The room was cold, and the radiators and the towel rail could not be turned on. The quality of the food could be improved. The staff were friendly and helpful, though.

Nothing really, can be tricky to park at weekends but that’s because it’s so popular.

Rooms were beautiful, well-appointed with modern bathrooms.

Getting there is a bit of a challenge! But it is a beautiful setting once you get there.

Breakfast was good and the owner pleasant and friendly.

Our flight was delayed so by the time we reached Chinley and found the hotel it was 10.15 pm. finding it wasn't easy. A surly barmaid checked us in and showed us to our room. We asked if there was anything available to eat and were told no, all the chefs had gone home at 10. She either wouldn't or couldn't make us a sandwich and the best she could offer was potato crisps. This after a 7-hour journey without food - we'd hoped to dine in comfort at the Old Hall but were sorely disappointed.

Good selection of breakfast options. Dinner was delicious.

The bed was a bit too soft

Cute cottage in great location & friendly, helpful staff.

We had WiFi issues unfortunately but we managed fine with mobile hot-spot.
