The Ohioan Hotel and Event Center

Hotel is under construction. Like the whole thing. Like all the rooms at once. Like down to the studs and you have to walk through active work zones and dust flying. Even a heads up (we didn't get one) would have been insufficient to stay here. They should be doing this work in phases or they should shut the facility down while work is completed. This is not safe for guests or staff. Front desk was nice but the ownership group must be monsters to force them to work in this without respirator protection. This facility's website says it was built in the '50s. I don't see any lead or asbestos signage anywhere on the property.

Wait until renovation⁸s are done before staying. We were not informed of this.

They are renovating the main foyer but that did not impede the quality of the stay.

Very nice hotel on beautiful grounds. Although hotel is undergoing renovations, it did not make a difference. Very clean, great breakfast, clean pools. We just had a wonderful time.

The front desk clerk was very rude during check in. Hotel was a total wreaked due to a remodel. It didn’t look safe especially with small children. We reserved two beds only to find we had only one bed after traveling all day with a family of three.

Excellent stay in all areas!

The hotel is being renovated so the rigged up check in area was understandable. However, our room had a stained toilet seat and I thought the tub/shower floor was dirty, but turned out it was rust. We had a dresser drawer that would not stay closed that was just annoying and our rooms a/c did not work properly. We entered an 80 degree, muggy room after returning from a wedding reception around midnight. My husband complained that the TV was small by modern standards. Check- in staff were not the most welcoming nor accommodating. We found it very difficult to believe this is a top rated hotel in Ohio.
