Burg Hotel Colmberg

This hotel was an unexpected surprise! We enjoyed our room. It was very clean, updated, and comfortable bed. The restaurant was fantastic! Highly recommend this castle/hotel

We had a wonderful, unique stay. A beautiful location with a medieval castle that brought you back hundreds of year. Excellent dinner and breakfast. And lounging areas on each floor each had character. A fantastic alternative to city hotels.

Very nice hotel. Modern bathroom. Room didn’t feel very castle-y, but it was pleasant. The common areas and grounds had a good castle feel, though. No elevator, so be aware of what room you’re booking if that’s important to you. Dinner was great and so were the staff.

The room was comfy, food was great. An elevator would have been nice, but I think they were in the process of installing one. Staff was pleasant and spoke English.

Second time staying. Highly recommended

Amazing. A classy experiencing while staying in a beautiful and we'll preserved (yet updated) castle. Good hiking around the facilities too and super close to the historic city Rothenburg on der Tauber.

It was fantastic. We were greeted by the nicest people and then we were treated as if we were Royalty by all of the staff. We could not ask for a better place to stay or to be treated any better.

Amazing and fun place to stay all around. The food was very good and staff welcoming. The rooms were a bit small but who cares. How many people can say they actually stayed in a real castle!

The castles history, location, view, staff, food and room were all beyond what we had expected. We would eagerly stay here again. However, the bed, as was five of the six hotels we stayed in on this two week trip, was far too hard. We may just be spoiled by our memory foam sleep mattress here in America but a good night's sleep was out of the equation. I would suggest offering a mattress pad for additional comfort for guests prone to back or hip discomfort. This beautiful hotel still gets a 5 out of 5 Stars from us.
