Burg Hotel Colmberg

A very nice castle setting with many old furniture outside of the rooms. Nice setting in the dining room. Room can be bigger.

Only stayed one night passing through on our return from Slovenia to England in a lovely antique, furnished room. Excellent location, gorgeous castle and grounds and friendly, English speaking staff. Evening meal was fantastic... hats off to the chef as hubby ate the chicken with gnocchi and spinach (after years of refusing to try spinach) and said it was the best meal he’s ever had! Breakfast was nice selection of cold meats, cereals and fruit. We will definitely be returning to have a wander round the quaint little village down the road.

Outstanding stay so lucky that we were able to book another night. Fabulous hotel and great castle lots to see inside and out. The staff were lovely and the restaurant food was delicious. we highly recommend Burg Colmberg and would stay again.

Amazing and stunningly beautiful place to stay. The staff are wonderful. The room was very nice and comfy bed. We had a very tasty meal in the courtyard and enjoyed our stay so much we booked in for another night! We highly recommend this fabulous hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Staying in a real castle was a great experience. Nice, efficient staff. Excellent setting and views. The food was very good. A great relaxing stay before our trip to Rothenburg.

When we drove to the hotel, it was in the evening. The hotel was lit up with white lights and looked much better than the picture depicts! The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular. The spa, food, rooms - all outstanding! We had an amazing time!!

The hotel and rooms was clean. The staff was friendly and polite. We will be back. If you are in the area it is a great place to stay.

Great experience to spend the night in an old castle. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food in the restaurant was really good. Treated like a king and felt like one. I highly recommend.

My wife and I were vacationing in Germany, and my wife wanted to stay in a castle. I found Burg Colmberg and made a reservation. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was perfect. Beautiful location and grounds. Very nice room with modern conveniences. The restaurant was wonderful and the outdoor seating area comfortable. They served a lovely breakfast and were very friendly. The castle is owned and operated by a family who has had it for 3 generations. They make new improvements every year. This year, they added on to the building and now have an elevator. We loved our visit and wish we could have stayed longer.
