Burg Hotel Colmberg

The property is magnificent. Old world charm, in fact a genuine aged castle and in fabulous order. The room was very well presented and the bathroom was modern and clean and contained a spa bath. Strangely the shower was a hose type and was fitted to about knee height! It seems it was intended to be used only while seated in the bath. Not very practical for those of us who prefer a shower. The dining rooms were very atmospheric ( lovely antique fittings and decoration) and the outdoor dining areas were wonderful on a hot evening.

Very unique and beautiful place to stay. Very quiet and low key; one thing to note is that everything closes in Colmberg at 6-7pm (but the hotel restaurant stayed open later). Rothenburg is about 15 minutes drive away, great restaurant place to spend the day/evening.

My family really enjoyed our stay. We visited here 17 years ago on our honeymoon and it was nice to show our kids this castle that we stayed in all those years ago. The food at the restaurant was really good and the breakfast was standard European breakfast.

If you are wondering if you should book this... don't wonder. book it! Just book it. My adult son and I added another night just because one night was not enough to take it all in. Book it!

Charming castle property with nice restaurant. Access to some of the rooms a bit difficult with bags on old stairs.

The room might be a bit tough if you're above 6'3 and on the 3rd floor but me and the wife loved the stay and thought it was beautiful.

We were completely blown away by how beautiful this hotel is. I absolutely didn't want to leave, and if I get another chance, we'll be staying there again. Wonderful views, excellent restaurant, great staff. Love, love, love this place.

We stayed in a CASTLE with an awesome view. Lots of deer in the yard. Also had a fantastic dinner in their restaurant
