Several years ago, my husband and I stayed at Manoir d’Auteill. Since we recalled the amazing service and Art Deco beauty of the inn, we reserved two rooms for our family for a return visit this summer. We were not disappointed. Our rooms were amazing. Our “room” was a complete suite, with living room, bedroom, large kitchen, and bath. Since the historic inn doesn’t have an elevator, we requested and were given two rooms on the first floor. Note that the inn’s first floor plan is a bit quirky, with a couple of steps here and there. It took time to figure out how to get to and from our two first floor rooms. This added to the adventure. The breakfast menu is limited, but the food is fresh and delicious. The location is within walking distance of all activities in Old Quebec City. Not only are the staff helpful, but they seem to enjoy providing good service.

Manoir d'Auteuil was the perfect choice for our eight couples celebrating an 80th birthday reunion. It is hard to know where to start, but we loved the location, directly across from the park encompassing Quebec's ramparts, yet only a short walk from restaurant lined Rue St. Louis, leading down to Chateau Frontenac. Our clean, modern, and attractive rooms were scattered throughout the fascinating and historic building. The breakfast area provided a wonderful space for our group to spend long morning hours reminiscing and planning the days' activities. The tables doubled as an equally comfortable bar area in the evening. The location and the amenities were perfect for our reunion activities, and the real high point of our stay was the always helpful, always congenial, and truly gracious staff. Quebec City itself was a historic and wonderful experience for us to explore together,

The room was fine and comfortable. The hotel is located relatively close to lots of restaurants and sites of interest. I wish the room had been ready on time and that front desk staff was more aware of helping customers.

The facility was lovely and the staff was wonderful.
