Ocean Street Inn on Hyannis Harbor

Great location.

This place is a typical bait and switch. The pictures on the website are not the same as the real thing. As other visitors have said, you check in down the street at the "resort" and they send you back to the "motel". After check in, I assumed my room was on the second floor of this dilapidated structure. Walking on soggy plywood flooring around to find my assigned room. I finally found a housekeeping person who pointed to a room on the first floor. I approached the door by way of a soggy plywood handicap ramp. Opened the door, closed the door and returned to the front desk at the "resort". Yes I booked a room in a motel. Yes I expected it to be clean, smell clean and all the other things you expect when you go away. THIS DOES NOT. The front desk person was kind enough to explain to me the difference between a "resort" and a "motel". What she failed to explain was the resort fee and the exorbitant parking fees!! After much tapping on her keyboard though she did offer me a room in the "resort". I felt lucky to have visited! The resort was fine. Room was clean, smelled nice, very quiet. BONUS But I don't think they should post pictures from the "resort" on the "motel" page. They are not the same.

I thought I was staying in a hotel. NOT a motel!

I had to check-in other location(sister hotel) but they are nice and kind. This inn is close to main street and also grocery, so very convenient to stay there. But, the outside pool needs to be managed so that the ducks cannot enjoy swimming there!!

Just overall fantastic

The bathroom was small. The room itself was nice size but we saw several bugs crawling around.

Taken over by another entity that does not have its act together as yet. Had to check in at one property and find my way to the other property that was not staffed. TV list had limited accuracy to what a channel offered. Thin walls so quite noisy.
