"Great Stay In The Port"

Great location, pictures are exactly how it looks. The only issue was the noise. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything happening within the building and outside. Otherwise it was fantastic.

Great location in Old Montreal! Although it was not the room in the photo, and no robes were supplied, still very comfortable

"Avoid this place"

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody. It was our seventh trip to Montreal and we decided to give this place a try. I never thought I can have such a bad and rude experience in Montreal. First of all it’s 2 star lofts, not 4. They send us the instructions to get in, because there is no receptionist there, but the lock code for the door wasn’t working. We spent 2 hours outside with all our baggage in winter trying to open the door and contact them. The phone that is provided is going straight to voicemail in French. Once we finally got in touch with their representative 2 hours later, because customer service from hotels.com called some other number, the representative gave us a different address to go and use the code that was provided, when I told his that such service is unacceptable, he told me that I got in the hotel so what else do I want and hang up on me. The loft wasn’t ready, people were still cleaning it, and it was after 5pm!!! Overall, horrible experience!

The only good things about this property are the size and the location. The rest is awful. For once, it's dirty. There were dirty sheets in the laundry room, the floor was covered in dirt and hair. Our window was looking out the fire escape with piles of garbage on it. Secondly, there is no elevator. You need to walk up a steep old staircase to enter the property and one of the steps was broken. I nearly sprained my foot. Thirdly, there is no one ever at the reception to help you. My mother and I stayed there for three nights in a row and did not see a soul at that reception desk. Fourthly, there is no way to lock the door of your room from the inside. It seemed very odd to me from the beginning and I was worried somebody would walk into our room in the middle of the night. Surely enough, that's exactly what happened! Turned out, the hotel accidentally provided our room number and the key code to a complete stranger! My mother and I weren't able to sleep after that. Literally anyone could've walked into our room at any point of day or night, take our possessions or worse. This hotel is not a safe option for women or anyone with expensive possessions. And finally, it is a TWO-STAR hotel, not a four-star like it says in the listing. I am not sure how Expedia calculates the star rating but a two-star hotel and a four-star hotel are two very different things! And there is a hidden "property fee" which brings it to the pricepoint of a decent three-star hotel.

No one at reception when we arrived at 4:30pm. Had trouble with the local offsite outdoor parking. There was still laundry going in the dryer when we checked in... found our bath towels in there, no hand towels. It's a nice apartment in a nice location, but it could use better sound proofing. We barely slept. We could hear everyone and everything happening on the street like they were in our room. Our daughter who was in another room was kept up by guests partying in another apartment... which according to the building rules; no partying. Oh well. Could have been great, but we left exhausted.
