The room is beautifully decorated and the host provided many tea and coffee, and the oatmeal cake was delicious. The best thing is that the host pleasantly accommodates to our every needs, and even let us keep the room for a few hours until our train schedule. Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, I would give it 11 if I could.

Fantastic hosts, close to town and the lakes and was very central to all the hikes we wanted to do.

Very convenient place to stay as it’s only a very short walk into Windermere town centre and only a 10 minute car journey to Ambleside, there’s a chalk board when you walk in that has a variety of places nearby to visit and also couple of numbers for local taxis, uber also works around here too.

Good communication from the owners about self check in etc. messaged us when we arrived to check all was ok. Beds were clean and comfy. Plenty of complimentary tea and coffee. Managed to car outside the property ok.

The room was a little chilly when we first arrived. We struggled to turn the radiator on which was turned to low but the owner popped up to sort that for us with no problem. The room wasn’t as clean would have expected it to be with cobwebs and dusty corners. We seemed to run out of hot water in the morning so only one of us could have a bath/shower. It was a bit out of the way of the town centre but we were just there for a friend’s wedding so that wasn’t an issue.

It’s really good mattresses. The best in London, and we even wanted to buy it.
