Friendly proprietors. Very comfy bed with spotless, freshly ironed sheets and a lovely view from the bedroom window. Nice and quiet bedroom with everything that was needed - eg a fan ( much appreciated on a warm summer’s evening), tv, nice coffee maker, bathroom with soap, body lotion etc in dispensers. Locals in the bar were friendly, and gluten free food was available. Continental breakfast was complimentary, but I decided to opt for a full English breakfast which was scrumptious!

Clean and comfortable with a friendly welcome. Appreciated free continental breakfast in the morning,

Towel heater in the bathroom wasn’t needed in June. Felt like it heated the room too.

Stayed overnight while visiting family and booked a few days in advance at a very reasonable rate for the area. The host was helpful in advance and friendly on my arrival. My room was clean, comfortable and well equipped and I enjoyed my dinner in the pub. Next morning I needed to depart at 0530, but I was still able to access the breakfast buffet included with my room rate. Glad I tried The Trooper and will visit again.
