The location was perfect - right across from the quiet end of the beach, and not a far walk from the train station. Penny makes the place perfect. She is a welcoming and positive person who brightens up your day and is willing to help with your plans and let you know about the area. Breakfast is substantial, hot, and exactly what you need to start your day of exploration on the Jurassic Coast. It's a lovely place with character.

the host was very chatty and helpful, loved the decor the bed was comfortable, location near to front but no sea view but very close to beach, breakfast was delicious will definately go again thank you

"A Hidden Treasure "

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Penny our host could not do enough for us. It was bed and breakfast and ‘WOW’ what a breakfast, so much choice and very filling. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, your room was cleaned as soon as you left. Nothing was to much trouble for Penny and she always had a smile on her face. Just for your information, anyone thinking of booking, you have to negotiate stairs, to get to all but one of the bedrooms.

The best part of our stay was Penny, the proprietor. Besides wonderful English breakfasts, she gave us many tips on what to do. We had some nice chats.
