Amazing stay . Staff were fantastic . Food was fantastic and room great . Great location . Can't wait to return .

Only stayed for one evening as I was travelling for work. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Restaurant was really busy but the owner had called me the night before and warned me they had a lot of bookings so I managed to reserve a table then. Food was very good and there was a friendly atmosphere in the restaurant itself. As I was here on business I didn’t get time to explore unfortunately but the village is close to Dartmoor National Park and not far from Plymouth.

Our one night stay was perfect. We couldn’t have wished for more helpful, friendly or polite hosts. Our room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfy! Breakfast was spot on too. If we were anywhere near the area again, this place is absolutely where we’d stay. Loved it.

Lovely country pub, big carpark and outside seating/garden area.the room was spotless and decorated to a high standard, the bed was the most comfortable we have ever slept in! great service, great food, would highly recommend and if we return to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fabulous stay at the Who’d have thought it. It’s a glorious C16 inn, with a really lovely interior & some great rooms. We stayed for just one night, which was far too short really. We arrived after a 7h drive to be warmly greeted by Martin & the team. We were too late to eat here, but we’re given recommendations for alternatives & found a good place just up the road. Our room was beautiful! A super king bed in an oak beamed room with a good bathroom was just perfect. And then, the icing on the cake - a hearty full English, cooked to perfection! A really great place to stay, right on the edge of Dartmoor. Highly recommended!

Lovely get away from it all location. Owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We booked this at the very last minute for a few nights and we are so glad we did. The Inn is set in a very remote and quiet village in Devon, very near to the border of Cornwall and is also on the edge of Dartmoor national park. For us the location was perfect to explore some of Devon and Cornwall. The Inn was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The car park is large and tucked away around the back of the inn and is very safe. They have local ciders and ales on tap and the food was very good. Prices for drinks and food were also good. They are also pet friendly. But for us what really made this little gem stand out even more, was the staff. Matt, Jo and Fiona made us feel so welcome and were so helpful and friendly at all times. It was sad for us to leave as we arrived as guests but departed as friends. We will be back and we will recommend to everyone. We can not wait to return. Thank you Whody and everyone there.

I would highly recommend this wonderful Inn to all! My partner and I had a delightful time; our room was extremely clean and beautifully presented, our breakfast was delicious, and the location was idyllic. The host, Matt, ensured that we had everything we needed for our very late check in and we felt right at home. Thank you again to the hosts - we will definitely return in the future!

Very nice 16th century hotel and pub. I loved the food, the atmosphere and great service.

Nice country pub on the edge of Dartmoor right next to Buckland Abby. Rooms are clean and in excellent condition, good food in the pub and friendly staff with plenty of parking. Recommended
