Aroma Suites

You couldn't ask for much more location-wise, if you want to be in Fira. The centre is very busy, but Aroma Suites is towards the quieter southern end of town. Views are obviously totally amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful -- they managed to get us a car without any advance notice (would recommend getting one as there's lots of interesting stuff to see all around the island) and were very pleasant and welcoming. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which is certainly a unique and beautiful room, although we may have preferred something a bit more conventional with a more private balcony (the suite shares with a couple of others). Not the end of the world, but it was a little annoying not to be served breakfast when our neighbours were, as we paid more than 300 euros for the room, but it wasn't part of the deal on Expedia so I don't blame the hotel for that.

We stayed five days in the SeaView room first week of June. We paid the premium for the view and balcony and our umbrella never worked. This is a game changer for enjoying wine in the sunset, for privacy, and for much needed solar protection. It had broken before our arrival, they didn't fix it, and didn't take an umbrella from the unused roof top to replace it. Staff, guests, and some tourists use your balcony to cut through to other sideways and to photo bomb. This was very upsetting as you couldn't sit on your balcony in peace or be assured someone wasn't seeing into your room.

Fira is the place to view the caldera from. The hotel is gorgeous, view is gorgeous, staff are gorgeous, rooms are gorgeous !

The Hotel location is very central as it is right across the Bus & Taxi Station in Fira. However, do note that the room is quite small. The view from the room is the best you can get in Santorini. The service standards are not good though. The Hotel did not offer transfers or suggest the bus service is available to reach the hotel from the Ferry station. We stayed there for three nights. The breakfast is not included but coffee is complementary. On the first day of our stay, we were served cake with the coffee, the next two days, there was no cake given. When asked, they said they have run out of the cake which was surprising as the we went in the off season and the hotel was not full. It was quite clear that they were trying to be petty.

Perfect view..perfecet set up..perfect hotel!

The hotel is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and very helpful. We loved our week stay here and will be back this summer.
