Auchrannie Resort

Fantastic location and facilities for our first car camping with a roof tent. We booked a month in advance and clarified requirements prior to booking the ferry.

Spent some time here with family and thoroughly enjoyed it. Retreat, restaurants, bar, leisure facilities and surroundings are wonderful. Cannot fault a thing. Already booked again for next year!

Brilliant staff

This was a short trip with our grandson for an early birthday present. Everything was perfect. The room had a small separate bedroom with bunk beds (he found these very comfy) and a tv at each level. It gave us all privacy. We booked the Sronach room package and had access to the rooftop hot tub which we used twice. The swimming pool was a great size and staff gave us some toys to use. My grandson would have stayed in for hours! We also had 9 holes of golf on the other side of the island at Machrie and finished the trip with a visit to Brodick castle and gardens. An excellent trip that we all thoroughly enjoyed and memories made as they say nowadays.

Travelled as a couple for a mini honeymoon. The place was lovely, with some small niggles. 1. The room had only a single small window onto the carpark. 2. The pool in the leisure facilities was less warm than expected. The bubble section of the pool is not a hot tub, same temperature as the rest. 3. The cocktail bar had only a single bar person who was behind with a backlog of drinks. Service was a little slow. 4. The cocktail bar promises it can make drinks off menu, but isn't well-stocked for this. Yellow chartreuse but no green chartreuse, for example, and no maraschino. 6. The dining was very good in general, we had two delicious meals. Unfortunately on our second meal, we dined outside (which was lovely, beautiful views and tranquil), and the waitress forgot about us and we had to chase up our dessert order. These are niggles and certainly didn't ruin our trip, but would prevent me giving five stars.

We have just returned from an amazing family trip to Auchrannie Resort. We arrived early and were told our room was ready for us. The executive double room blew up away on arrival. Our children loved the bunk beds with tv’s! I had pre-booked a table for each evening meal at Cruize restaurant. I later needed to amend the reservation for the second evening which I could do online, or was very quick and easy to manage. The food at Cruize was delicious, and great value for money. Lots of options to chose from for both adults and children. We also used the Playbarn and swimming pool facilities during our stay, and both were a great addition for families. Our children really enjoyed the children’s splash pool and floats available in the main pool. We ventured out on the rain one evening and were pleasantly surprised to find a resource room which had a tumble drier, so we were able to dry our clothes without fuss. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming, it was lovely. We are already planning our next stay!

The area is beautiful, the staff are very friendly. The choices at the bar and restaurants are great The facilities are excellent.

The beds were uncomfortable.
