Property Notes

The property charges a prepayment. Directions: Please note that if you are arriving by car, do not use satellite navigation once you reach Rowsley as it will direct you too far along Chatsworth Road (also the B6012). The Old Station House is the second house on the left immediately after turning onto Chatsworth Road from the A6. It has a white conservatory on the front and a B&B sign above the front door. The entrance to the car park is 131 feet further along Chatsworth Road, bordered by a lamppost and a bus stop. If you are coming from Chatsworth along the B6012, follow the road through Rowsley until you pass Hinckley Court on your right and then our car park entrance is immediately after the bus stop on your right. The house is 131 feet further along the road towards the A6 junction. Standard check-in time is between 16:30 and 18:00. Outside these hours the staff may not be available so, if you would like to check-in at an alternative time, please contact the property in advance and they will do their best to accommodate your request. A deposit may be required at the property.

"Nice bed and breakfast"

Bed and breakfast in a great location in Rowsley. Has own parking so very easy to park. A pub and a posh restaurant in walking distance as well as an outlet park. Room was nice though not large and was well equipped. Fabulous breakfast!

The Old Station House is in the very picturesque village of Rowsley. The house is lovely. Very comfortable and homely. We found Vicky to be a charming, friendly host. She was so knowledgeable about the geography and history of the surrounding area and had left lots of information in a manual in our room. Breakfast was good and included freshly baked bread. So many interesting places to visit in the area, including Haddon Hall and Chatsworth.

There was nothing we disliked.

"Relaxing and enjoyable"

Everything about our stay here was just perfect. The host was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The host explained everything and gave us some information on where to visit. I’ve stayed in other places and never been told where the fire exit was, which is one of the most important things. There was a A4 folder giving us any information about the area and places of interest. It was so nice to meet other visitors and interacting and sharing experiences. Hopefully we will go back there again

"We had an excellent stay, and would like to go again"

The friendliness of the owner. Everything you could need was already provided. Breakfast was a vey wide choice, from full English to individual items, cereal, yoghurt , toast. Good size bedroom, plenty of sockets. Radio alarm. Television, tea making facilities. Biscuits, decaf tea and coffee in the room. Adequate wardrobe space. Dressing table. Comfortable bed. Guest room could used all day and evening.
