Empire Hotel Subang

This hotel is becoming worse, probably will be my last time staying. Stayed 4 nights. Good point: Room is comfy Close to my branch office Rooms for improvement: NO Gym facility even the web/ APP saying there is, I felt that I got cheated. Poor quality of breakfast, limited selection food choice really need to improve a lot. Hot shower not working fine, it took me 5 mins to wait The only reason I chose this hotel is close to my hotel, if this hotel do not improve then i will give up.

When I checked out today, the hotel staff (lady) explained that the parking machine was spoiled and could not waive my parking fee. It was necessary for me to go to the packing office to waive after that I was asked to pay by the parking office when I arrived at the hotel. No free parking is provided by the hotel. Service = "Dishonest"

The toilet installation looks bad, it looks dislocated.. The soundproof windows are not good. You can clearly hear the construction outside at night on the upper floors.

Nothing like the pictures. Rooms had a musky smell when we arrived. Furniture looked old and not maintained. Bedsheets and towels had stains and did not look laundered for some time. Lighting in room where also really dim which made the room uncomfortable to live in. Wifi was poor and hotel staff didn't really care that the wifi was not working in the room. We had two bookings at this hotel but cancelled and changed on the second leg because of how horrible the place is. The only good thing of the hotel is the location and mall downstairs.

Worst experience ever. The toilet bowl never work for 3 days 2 night. Once you use the toilet, either you keep everything overnight or you have to call reception- ask them to send someone to clear the toilet bowl and wait forever. Hotel conditions is terrible. Please refer to my photos and video. -plastic found in the safe. -dust all over the floor. -stained on the pillow. -water leakage right at the lift lobby at main lobby. -dirty and stained lounge chair. - molded and stained shower area. -many more.

first day, my safe didn't work properly. Tried to call the front desk but the antiquated phone didn't connect. Speaker phone on the phone next to the bed could not turn off so had to manually disconnect. Got through to front desk but they lazily informed me I had to wait as they were having the same problem elsewhere. Had to wait a whole another day for three technicians to arrive one after the other, none knowing what the previous guy did. In the end the third guy swapped my safe for another one that worked. This series of events has caused me to give one out of five. If I could give zero I would. During check in I was met with the most demotivated person ever. He didn't even bother to ask me if I needed help with the luggage, only yelled at me from across the hall. He also harassed a bunch of Filipino guests who were trying to check in. Please don't hire alcoholics or people with issues. The elevator on the right side is broken by the way so anyone forced to stay here has to either wait for the left one or use the glass elevator in the shopping mall. There are luggage racks at the ground floor but reception is at the second floor, so they are useless. It may be close to Subang Jaya LRT and connected to a decent shopping mall but there is nothing good to say about this hotel. And most of the shops close early so the mall isn't that useful either. My advice? stay in a good hotel in KL and just endure the traffic to do your business in Subang jaya (after taking the LRT of course, don't Grab all the way from KL!) Apparently all the hotels except for Sunway are like this Empire Hotel.

generally is quite clean, the room is big, the mattress was okay to me not too soft.

The Hotel is located next to a mall which is very Convenient. Check into 315 on 29 June 2023, at about midnight and was greeted by a friendly gentleman. The lobby is quite modern and very unique with SunTze Art of War wordings on the wall and carpet. The entire process was smooth. The room is quite spacious. They have in-room dining however it ends at 10 pm. The only set back is there isn’t much place close enough for supper. The rooms comes with amenities, safe box as well as iron and iron board which is good for me as a business traveller. They have also a working desk however personally I feel that the light is too dim. The toilet came with a bidet. The water pressure is good however the water is only luke warm to my liking. I tried calling the operator and to my surprise the automated machine asked for call back as I was leaving the hotel I went to the reception to inform her about the hot water and my aircon filter requires cleaning see picture and left the hotel but when I returned in the evening it seems that nothing was done. I called the operator the next day but no one answered the call. I proceeded to the receptionist once again and told her both the water and auto no issue and she asked me if I will be in my room I told her yes after waiting for an hour, no one came! Housekeeping services was excellent throughout my stay and the room attendant were all very friendly as they greeted me whenever they sees me except the grouting in the bathroom needs some major cleaning. I went to the restaurant for breakfast for 4 days only saw one hostess in black polo T on my last day but she was busy with her phone. Proceed to the restaurant but no one actually greeted and ask if I needed help so I just went straight to the buffet and take my food and after taking my food, I just looked for an empty table and sat down realising there is no cutleries so I proceeded to the side station and took the cutleries myself and this happens for 4 days through my visit to the restaurant “very consistent indeed.” The first day I have to wave to the guy chef in white for my eggs as he was busy preparing his Mis en place but he seems very hostile. After ordering I went back to my seat and continued my breakfast. Then I proceeded back to the egg station and asked for my eggs. The next 3 days was a little different, the young female chef was a lot more friendlier though I need to go back and take my eggs. The nasi lemak didn’t come with Chili? I asked the ground staff and was told to take from the Ayam nasal merah I was shocked! I thought maybe they ran out of chilli but the next 3 days there was it any chilli either perhaps I have to take chilli from the spicy squid and etc… the menu seems to change everyday though not major but appreciate it coz I stayed there for 4 days. Food is relatively good but the replenishment is very slow. One of the day saw the chef I supposed he is a superior with a mask half down the chin walking around not very slightly in my opinion and doesn’t look friendly at all. Overall this is a nice hotel with nice hardware but lack of the software otherwise it will be a great hotel.

Terrible standards. AC not good. No hot water. Safe didn’t work. Mould. Ceilings in halls had holes in where water had leaked through. Some still had water coming through. Reception dilapidated. What more can I say? Stayed in 2020 and was fine. Maybe they are having financial difficulties but not fit for purpose now.

Please avoid this hotel. Unclean, poorly maintained. Mouldy walls and ceilings. Dirty, unwashed surfaces. We will be cutting our stay short to stay somewhere much cleaner. Such a disappointment. Wish the person who had booked at worked had checked the reviews before we stayed.
