Empire Hotel Subang

When I check in, had to go back to Reception twice because key card did not work. When I got in to the room, the safe was not working. I had to rush out so carried all my valuables and reported to the Reception....BUT when I returned at night, the safe was not fixed. On plus side, room looks new and clean BUT this is the first hotel I have stayed in Malaysia that do not provide toothbrush, hair conditioner or shaver.

I asked for a non smoking room, and I got a room on the 3rd floor. The room itself was fine but the air conditioner air intake must be over some smoking area and the room smells of smoke. Since it was only for one night, i bore with it.

Pleasant, clean and friendly environment. Good location with sufficient amenities and food outlets.

No towel provides in the room Better bring your own next time Please advertise in your itinerary your hotel not provide towel so client can bring their

Wait time for lift does take some time ; but they have put in efforts to try to ease the situation

Room was big so very comfortable but overall the hotel feels in need of better maintenance and possibly a makeover. The bathroom was a little dirty.

Called reception, housekeeping and room service - no one pick up the call. Room a bit dark, good to have a table lamp.

Pros: Clean room, good air con in the room, comfortable beds, hot showers, friendly staff Cons: Extremely slow lifts

The room was big but the toilet sliding door was stuck unable to close and the Key system has problem with one of the card , i have it validate 3 times still unable to open the door with the card .
