Claverton Country House Hotel

Beautiful hotel and grounds and a warm welcome. Limited service due to Covid guidelines but overall a lovely stay in a peaceful, relaxing setting.

Stuff was really polite and helpful, the room was quite small tho, WiFi was really bad and breakfast and lunch was awesome!!!

The location was excellent, very pretty grounds, and the rooms clean and comfortable. the staff was helpful and considerate. Hard to fault this place. thankyou Lorraine for a wonderful stay

The staff were excellent, the hotel wasnt busy and they upgraded us to a superior double. We booked another day the hotel and staff were that amazing highly recommend.

Quaint little place of the busy main road and not far from Battle, the hotel had breakfast and a restaurant and beer garden.

How is this place rated 5 star? Shabby,not even a hairdryer in the room, tea towel bath towel and nasty peeling varnished toilet seat. Bed wonderful, the rest not great. Also if you called a 5 star hotel at 8pm, wouldnt you expect a reply? Call them 8 times, called them while standing in front of them. They thought the phone needed charging. Was calling as website says booking in up to 9.pm. Apparently that’s not true either. We didnt have to leave a family meal without eating to book in . If they had just picked up the phone . . When we checked out, left key at unmanned reception. Guess they don’t want to know about your stay. They already know

An Excellent Boutique hotel, with truly friendly staff. They made our weekend truly delightful.

Unfortunately not able to take full advantage of the hotel because of covid concerns, but the hotel seems to be giving the right amount of consideration to this problem. Note given to us on arrival with regard to this matter. Did not use restaurant or bar on this occasion - perhaps next time?? Garden looked lovely.

Nice hotel very convenient for anyone on business or pleasure due to it proximity to Hastings located on the A21. On arrive I was met with a very warm greeting and presented with a very usuful information sheet and keys to the room and front door. It was explained that food was not possible but they no objections to food being delivered or brought back to the hotel to be eat in the dining area. I was in room 4 it was quite large and had a fourposter bed with an amazing view of the gardens and Koi pond. Bathroom was a good size with quite a large shower which was easy to control with good water pressure. Slight road noise which didn't bother me even with the windows open and I am a very light sleeper. Breakfast was not available but a microwave was in the dining room and cutlery. I would stay again and I am sure during more pleasant times having all the features available would only add to a goodnight. Only issue I had was with the TV, I normally bring movies on a USB drive and the TV supported this feature but was having none of it. First hotel I have had this problem but not the end of the world, the TV had freesat channels.
