The place was clean and staff was friendly. We were late with our dinner booking but the chef kindly stayed and made our order. It was a very nice overnight stay. I would visit again for sure.

Very relaxed atmosphere and lovely rural surroundings . Room lovely but very small but only 2 of us so ok I guess. Dinner was lovely , steak cooked beautifully . Staff really helpful especially in the evening Kerry & a young 16 year old were particularly good. Ideal location near Carr Taylor vineyard where we had a tour on the Saturday . Recommended highly

"A pleasant stay "

The good: staff very welcoming at check in. Room larger than expected and very comfortable. Covid spacing good, staff did not wear masks but I do not think this is mandatory any more. Meals were very good, served quickly and all staff attentive and pleasant. Hotel and grounds are beautiful. The bad: not a lot, the hotel did everything as expected, we had a noisy tv in the neighbouring room one night which made it hard to go to sleep. The tea and coffee in the room did not include green tea, which I would have expected for a hotel of this standard. Overall a very pleasant stay.

"Great overnight family stay"

We stayed in the family suite which was ideal. The beds were comfortable and having a living room area leading on to the garden was great. Staff were helpful and friendly and the grounds are well maintained and lovely to enjoy a drink in. We wanted to see Battle on our way to a holiday further down the coast and this was a perfect stop over.
