Holiday Inn Express and Suites Urbandale Des Moines by IHG

It was up to date and clean.

The ridiculous noise carried out by guests and their children. Way past the quiet time.

Well designed and clean. Very functional room with great amenities.

Only thing was, we found the shower to be slippery. Not a deal breaker by any means.

Breakfast was awesome and I would say a cut above what you are used to seeing at most places. We stayed and met with family while we were there over Christmas and I would say the staff was absolutely amazing and we so appreciated them being there. My nephew loved the pool so that was a nice option to have as well. The rooms and the common areas were so clean! They did a really nice job taking care of everything.

The only downside was a sewer-like smell and that you could smell on the floors, but not in the rooms. I reported it and the front desk staff knew exactly what the problem was and they were able to fix it. He said it had to do with the ice room, not the sewer system.

Breakfast was good. Especially the warm cinamon rolls and bacon. Staf was warm and friendly and easy to work with. Glad to have all day coffee.

Staff was very helpful, the room was spacious and very clean and the breakfast was excellent. We look for a Holiday Inn Express when we travel because we have never been disappointed.
