Madang Resort

Really enjoyed our stay at the Madang Resort Hotel. Our waterfront rooms had private balconies overlooking the lagoon, Kranket Island and Madang Habour. Rooms were very clean and although the bathrooms were due for an upgrade everything was well maintained and clean. The tropical gardens made for a nice walk to the hotel restaurants etc. Found the dining experience in the hotel restaurants nice with menu changes over the weekend and very pleasant staff. Mandang town centre is an easy 15min walk with plenty of supermarkets to choose from and the local Madang markets. Sadly Madang township is not as beautiful as it once was with overcrowding and rubbish, however the people are just as pleasant and friendly as ever.

I had problems with the breakfast. As room for two people included breakfast, but the second breakfast I had to pay separately

I booked the cheapest room. This was not a.good idea: Internet did not work, the room was smelly and rundown. Breakfast is basic and notl nice. If you go there, rent one of the more expensive rooms and enjoy the lovely scenery.

EXPENSIVE and staff attitude is bad! Don't expect too much. Bring your too brush and towel cause they don't change towel.

Don't let them do your laundry-they ruined 2 articles of clothing which were near new. Came back with holes and tears in them. Otherwise the resort is really pleasant and staff were friendly and helpful

It's Madang so your options are limited. With that thought in mind, the rooms are tired but are clean & comfortable. The hotel grounds are safe. The restaurants offer a nice selection of foods. I didnt have hot water in my room but that was expected.
