Madang Resort

We stayed here for 2 separate nights. Good shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. Rooms were clean, beds comfortable. Only downside was when we had to leave early in the morning there was no hot water for showers - when charging the price they do for rooms this should not have been lacking. People were very friendly and we enjoyed our stay.

The location of the hotel relaxes one after less than comfortable travel. The grounds are beautiful, staff very attentive and competent. Meals at restaurant reasonable to good.

My expectations were not that high, as i know could have certain PNG factor. Anyway, the staff was quite useless, and service in e.g. the restaurant was very slow and full of mistakes. The bill was VERY wrong at check out. The maintenance of the room was not very impressive.Too bad, the location is pretty good. Food was decent as well.

I was impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all staff members I met. Airport transfers are an important reason to choose this hotel. The hotel is near the town centre - within walking distance- but well-protected from the less desirable aspects of the town

The Madang Resort Hotel is THE idle place to stay in Madang. The staff are exemplary, the facilities excellent and their attention to you is second to none. A real surprise in a really surprising place. I would stay there again !

Room was not clean, aircon leaked onto the bed, mouse and ants in room, internet didn't work after paying considerable $$s for access, food was poor but expensive, power went out, no water on one morning, so all in all - not a good experience. Staff listened but then did nothing about it.
