Pinewood Queenstown

👍 Like my review! We had a 4 night stay at Pinewood Lodge in Queenstown, New Zealand as part of our journey across the country. The place was of great value due to a 10 minute walk to downtown, very fast internet, and free (but limited) parking. The check in process was smooth with a helpful staff including Marwin & Camila. Since we paid for a room in unit V, we were given a private bedroom and private bathroom. The queen-sized and twin-sized beds with pillows were comfortable alongside a desk with a chair, plenty of outlets, closet space, television, kettle for drinks (instant coffee, tea, chocolate, sugar, milk). The bathroom was average with an effective toilet, small sink, and toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) but also had an unusual standing shower with a top cover and weak shower head. There are also breakfast, laundry, and vending machines for a fee. At the time of our stay, the hot tub was unavailable. The shared living room and kitchen for units U and V was helpful with sofa, table, chairs, cutlery, plates, bowls, fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, and stovetop. Depending on the guests, the shared space can be anywhere between clean to very messy. Given that Pinewood Lodge offers multiple types of accommodations including a hostel type of accommodation, we were not surprised that we would meet many types of people from around the world and a range of ages throughout the property. We would consider staying here again and would recommend it!

initially put in room with shared bath but chanf\ged the first day due to cancellaion to room with private bath, kitchen, single cabin. Staff most helpful in accommodating our needs

accommodation was awesome, tidy, clean, well-stocked kitchen utensils - great view to boot. and the fact we could walk to wherever we needed to go meant no parking hassles so saved on time and money.

Quite old but reasonably close to the city center.

Poor sleep because of old mattress. More rooms than parking available. No air con or fan and window was nailed closed with wood blocks.

The property was beautiful, and the easy walking distance to the CBD was very convenient. Great kitchen and bathroom facilities. Space is small however was a very pleasant stay.

So overpriced for what it was , terrible bathrooms , showers and toilets not cleaned

We enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to the shopping, food and planned adventures.

Good value for money in Queenstown,

We had a lovely stay at Pinewood Lodge. The room is clean and the size is just right for my small family. The shared kitchen is well maintained and got everything that we needed like pots and pans, plates and cutleries. The staffs are all kind, friendly and accommodating. The place is very convenient and you can walk 10 minutes or less to the QT city center.
