Staff was nice

The Room was the only ' blind ' one near thé réception area ( all thé other rooms are on the first floor ) . impossible to open Window , aircon was not working , carpet was obviously super old and dirty , the Room need a clear rénovation. The photos on Booking were really différent 🧐

The location was fine

The place is not that clean. There is no fridge in the rooms, the TV is inside the Waldrop you need to choose between hanging clothes or watching TV. No toilet spray the bed is not comfortable. It's very disappointing because it was rated 8.5 yet it is nothing close. I requested to checkout at 12:00 they said its fine, but that wasn't the case at the property I was told that I need to be out of the room by 11:00 if I want to leave at 12: I can wait in the lounge.

Friendly welcome and friendly manager. Breakfast was decent and the location is good. The bedding was new and clean and comfortable.

The room, and the building for that matter, is old. The room was quite dark and needs some refurbishments. We had asked for a room with a view or a balcony, and ours had neither. (granted, they were full, so could not updgrade us).

Good location close to Table Mountain, Camps Bay and it is quick to get into central Cape Town, short drive or taxi. Very welcoming and friendly staff Charmain and Liz do a great job. Liz makes a lovely breakfast with a smile! Good pubs / bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Nice balcony to relax on, with views of Table Mountain and Signal Hill. We liked it so much we booked again for a night at a later date before leaving.

The nearby road is a little noisy in the day time but this gets quieter at night and didn't bother us.

I liked the location. It was literally 2mins from all the possible new years venues we wanted to visit. The convenience of Uber in the area is flawless.

The room was a bit small for 2 people. Luckily we were hardly home for it to cause friction.

We had a great stay. A bit sorry, that it was only for one night, cause it was so a warm welcome for us. Great breakfast.

My children’s room upstairs, together with the balcony, was good and clean and had more light. Proximity to beaches, Table Mountain, shops and the Waterfront was less than 1@ minutes drive.

The breakfast was a very basic budget breakfast with every egg, bacon and tomato seeming like it was counted, sometimes burnt and sometimes big well done. As indicated, my body was red with bed-bug bites and I told the staff about it. The room was dark as the only windows faced the passageway from the entrance. Some of the windows could not close properly, meaning mosquitos would have found it easy to come in also. The pictures on the website seem 6 or 7 year old. Could have been told that parking is in the street, however safe it seemed. Problems with gate during load-shedding and access codes useless.
