- Your TV is outdated - The flag on the outside balcony is torn and looks horrible please remove it - Soap is limited in the rooms you only have the jelly one if you need to wash your panties or handkerchief you can not wash

One has unfortunately to be careful with parking on the street apparently in this area. The staff were lovely and helpful and the breakfast was nice ! The carpets were threadbare and it needs a bit of an upgrade to be honest.

The breakfast was amazing.. good variety and well presented. The rooms were well equipped with comfortable bed, crisp linen and great shower. Staff were friendly and always willing to assist.

Friendly staff, Excellent Service. Love the Art Deco, history of the building, location. Nice stay and breakfast.

Liberty Lodge is a simple standard bed & breakfast in a good location, convenient for Table Mountain, Signal Hill, Lion's Head and Kloof Street good standard, busy restaurants & bars, walkable in the evening. There is on-street parking and it is possible to walk into the centre of Cape Town, about 30 minutes downhill to the V&A Waterfront. Breakfast is good and cooked to order although there are limited options, and is taken at a communal table with the flow of other guests which we enjoyed. The description I would give it is 'shabby-chic' as it's quite stylishly decorated although some things could do with updating or replacement. For example, some of the outdoor furniture on the roof patio is broken, there were a couple of holes in the bedlinen and a hole in the carpet in our room. Room 2 described as 'deluxe twin or double' on the first floor is decorated in an African style and appears to have been recently painted. The room and ensuite bathroom with shower are small, but perfectly functional with plenty of hot water. We stayed for 5 nights and in hindsight a bigger room would have been better. However, Liberty Lodge grew on us and we had a nice stay. Lisa & Charmaine are very friendly and immediately made us feel welcome. It was very useful to be able to check in at 1200. We give Liberty Lodge an overall rating of 7/10.

Room 2 is a small room with a very small bathroom, back up during loadshedding is limited - the doorbell was not working when we arrived due to loadshedding and we therefore had difficulty letting them know we were there. A bit more attention to detail in the general upkeep of Liberty Lodge would be a good thing, addressing the general wear and tear and replacing some broken/scruffy and worn out furnishings. The road outside is quite busy and there was traffic noise that woke us up in the mornings.

Super friendly hosts, spacious room and great location with some restaurants just a short walk away. Plenty of on street parking and we were able to check in early.

It is in a good location, there are many restaurants within walking distance. Table Mountain and lion head Mountain are both nearby, 2 - 3 km away. Breakfast was very good. Early check-in was a bonus. Hotel Manager Charmaine provided excellent service.

Facilities were a bit dated. Cleanliness could be improved.

Great accommodation, clean and tidy, lovely building. Warm welcome very friendly staff, great breakfast with a smile, Liz is the best cook. Great location for Table Mountain, Camps Bay, Central Cape Town Close by.
