Hotel De Vougeot

The very warm welcome we received from the gentleman at the reception, Jean-Yves. We have stayed in many hotels and haven't felt so welcome in a very long time. It was most appreciated, especially after a 8 hours drive.

A small and oddly quiet place tucked away in a sleepy village surrounded by vineyards, where we stayed just one night on our way back to the UK. We didn’t see any other guests and were served throughout by just a single member of staff, for whom we have only praise; possibly the love child of Basil Fawlty and Mother Teresa. Our room, on the top floor, was enormous though a tad stuffy and we would have liked a bath, but these are minor quibbles when you can open the window and take in the Chateau du Clos de Vougeot. We ate here in the evening (plates of cheese and cold meats on the terrace); a full restaurant would have been nice but beggars can’t be choosers. Breakfast the next day came from the boulangerie down the road. Would we stay here again? Probably not, but absolutely no regrets; the Hotel de Vougeot served us well.

Very charming hotel. Convenient location to visit the Côte de Nuits' wineries and vineyards. Breakfast is good and served early. What I like best is the excellent and professional service from the hotel's personnel. Old wooden and stone building so you may hear some noise (creaking sounds) if your neighbors are noisy. Overall, I highly recommend.

Pas d’eau chaude pour la douche

What a lucky find this was! From a Chateau the night before, to this little Hotel was a big step, but a very good value option! Only booked 45 minutes before we arrived whilst on the Freeway, Alain our host was a delight from the minute we walked in. Nothing was a problem everything was possible and after we settled into our room (with view of Chateau's and grape vines and priced at a very low 88 Euro's), we purchased a bottle of local Pinot Noir from Alain. Sitting on the veranda in front of the grape vines, we knew we were on holidays! Alain booked a table for us at a local restaurant which was a great offering as we would have never found it by ourselves. Could not fault this little hotel. Our King size bed was very comfortable and the shower provided enough water pressure. Thank you Alain!

Serviabilité, conseils et sourire dans un village calme au milieu des vignobles. Chambre impeccable, sdb nickel et petit dejeuner buffet généreux et local. A conseiller vivement !

Trevligt och mysigt hotell mitt i vinområdet. Just nu har inte säsongen inte startat så det fanns bara en restaurang öppen med gångavstånd.

Hotel très agréble pour un court séjour en Côte d'Or. Le seul bémol: l'omniprésence d'un grand chien pendant le petit déjeuner peut gêner certaines personnes malgré l'affection que l'on peut porter aux animaux domestiques.
