"Comfortable rooms, excellent service, excellent location"

8.0

This is the place to go when doing a visit to the surrounding wineries. The service is simply outstanding. We arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and had had no lunch. The hotel manager immediately managed to fix us some simple but very good cold cuts and cheese, and offered us some excellent white burgundy - we were not even charged for half the wine we drank. The rooms will not strike you as modern(which is the only reason why I do not give it a five star rating). However, they have all the comfort you need plus superb views on the vineyard. Finally the owner/director is very knowledgeable about wines and will be able to direct you to all the best places to visit and vineyards. The location of the hotel makes it very easy to roam around and come back with more boxes of wine in your car trunk... We will definitely come back !

"Great"

10.0

First the location. To have breakfast or wine and cheese overlooking the Chateau already adds value to a hotel. Rooms are fantastic for the price, lovely location, lovely staff. Buy a bottle of Clos de Vougeot next, door, sip your glass sitting in the vineyard. Some simple places are just darn lucky. Only a great restaurant is missing to this lovely hotel.

"Exceptional"

10.0

We could not have asked for a better experience or better lodging. We loved the historic, comfortable hotel and the community. Also we were in easy driving distance to both Dijon and Beaune which are outstanding to visit. Alain is a terrific host and helped put us onto rides in the area that were fun and beautiful.

"Lovely hotel in the vineyards"

8.0

We arrived early--around 2 p.m. and there was no one there. I called the number given and spoke to the proprietor who said he would come, although check-in was normally not until 3 o'clock. He did say that our room was ready and the key was inside, but the hotel was locked and we couldn't access it (until later when we found out it was in another building which was unlocked!) Once he arrived he was very pleasant, the room lovely with a view of the vineyards and breakfast quite good and reasonable. Parking (enclosed) can fill up late at night. There is no elevator and we were on the second (American 3rd) floor. We would return if in the area.

"Tranquil village surrounded by vineyads"

8.0

A lovely little village set in the wine growing area. 150 meters down the road is a lovely little restaurant (note no one speaks english). One disappointing thing was the lack of enthusiasm from the owner selling wine in the tasting room attached to the hotel. We went there to sample and but we're put off so went elsewhere. Overall a wonderful spot to relax.

"Vineyard Hideaway"

10.0

My Partner and I were on a 5 day road trip around France and found Hotel De Vougeot via Hotels.com. We applied for a room and were confirmed within minutes. Upon arrival at Hotel De Vougeot, we were warmly greeted and advised that although we had booked a room, as they had no more of this type, they would upgrade us free of charge. We were asked if we had eaten and advised to go to a restaurant just down the road. The receptionist, called in advance to confirm our booking which again was a nice touch. The service at breakfast was by the homeowner and we plentiful. There was ample fresh breads, meats, fruits, eggs and pastries alike. After breakfast, we decided to walk to 'The Vineyards of the Clos de Vougeot'. We walked through the vinyards and at arrived at the Château. We had self guided tour for €7 each (approx.) All in all, this hotel and village is a wonderful hideaway and we would definitely recommend staying here is you are passing through or would like to get away from it all. We will be returning for sure.
