Safir Hotel Doha

Good in general, great price but the area around us old

Generally the hotel is good , room is decent size and clean , smoking 5th floor need a lot more ventilation from the point you reach the 5th floor the place really smells different and the rooms have no adequate ventilation for smokers The only bad experience I had was being very strict in late check out in a really dogmatic way ... other hotels in doha I have stayed in before have show a lot more flexibility in this respect The hotel area has some low end restaurants but no decent or fast food around Also the laundry services is extremely expensive ...everyone should completely avoid and use the laundry near by the hotel

Horrible Customer Service. Hotel even refused to give one plate and knife without ordering food. In addition their room service person Mr. Sufian and F&B Manager Mr. Edward are rude! would never go back to this hotel and chain as their staff is the worth Ive seen in the hospitality industry! They even asked me to pay for phone calls which I didnt make; they reversed the charges later; but a waste of time!

The hotel hot water in the room was giving out BROWN water when trying to use. I had to request a change in the room to get clean water. Never seen this in any of my previous stays. Room is very small as well.

We picked this hotel for a 12 hour airport layover in Doha based on its price and ratings. We were thrilled by how friendly and competent the staff was and the room was wonderful for the quick overnighter. The staff set up wake up calls at 5am and came through and then provided their shuttle to the airport. The room was very nice and everything worked great. Thanks to the staff and Safir Hotel Doha for a very pleasant experience

+ve Points: Spacious and clean rooms, Basement parking, Swimming Pool, Lavish Breakfast Buffet. -ve Points: Although hotels.com confirmed that breakfast is included in the room price but hotel staff tried to charge me for it and i convinced them by showing the details, the mini bar in your room refrigerator has many items in it but hotel will charge you if you have used them.

One nigth, Hotel clean in a OK area for business trip.
