Fijn hotel met een prachtige, groene tuin aan de achterzijde- heerlijk vertoeven daar in tegenstelling tot het autorijke marktplein aan de voorkant.

De accommodatie was uitstekend- we hadden echter gedacht dat het dorp Helmsley eenvoudig te bereiken was met het ov. Dat bleek niet het geval. Dankzij leuke Uberchauffeurs konden we de verdere omgeving verkennen. Rondom Hemsley zelf zijn prachtige wandelingen te maken.

Perfect location & free parking. Always comfy bed, nice friendly helpful staff and good food (toad in the hole was a much needed big hearty meal). Had room near reception area, but really quiet. Had a slight issue with kettle, but sorted immediately.

Location in market square was ideal . Cozy bar areas . Great garden with tables

Bedroom was small and needed a bit of TLC windows tatty , carpet fluffy and dirty around edges . Bathroom floor laminate stained with ? Dye

The location was perfect , drinks and food very average , disappointing . Property good do with a revamp

The bar area , no parking this was difficult as we were there for a festival so Very busy

Power cut occurred shortly after we checked and continued into the evening. Staff coped with the disruption very well and minimised the impact to guests. Hotel is larger than anticipated in terms of guest numbers but was not an issue. Helmsley is delightful.

Power cut was not ideal for celebrating our anniversary but more than compensated for by hotel’s response.

Lovely old property. Lots of lovely spaces around the pub, great location on square in Helmsley. Good breakfast.
