Barceló Portinatx - Adults Only

Hotel was beautiful, lovely bohemian feel to it, staff extremely helpful and friendly. Food and drinks a little expensive but you get what you pay for, fresh cocktails and food! Great location to beach, shops and restaurants and not to mention the lighthouse if your not afraid of heights and trekking, amazing views. Will definitely be back!

The hotel is in a great location on the northwest side of the island. We were celebrating a 50th birthday as two couples and this adults only all inclusive option was great for us. The staff were extremely welcoming, the hotel was clean and the rooms spacious with a wonderfully comfortable bed. Sadly the Noray restaurant on the beach was closed so we had the buffet breakfast and dinner and serviced poolside lunches. The food was on the whole extremely good with lots of options. The buffet was extremely busy and finished promptly at 10.00. We had no problems getting extra drinks and cocktails all day if we wished. There are two pools which were not overly full. We were able to change towels as many times as you wanted. We were expecting to swim in the sea but it was full of jellyfish sadly and so we spent a lot of time at the pool· The hotel is on a slope so be aware there are lots of steps although there are lifts but not to all levels. The hotel uses some waste ground alongside for its parking which was both very full and also difficult to navigate due to the ground being so poor. Be aware of your hire car on this! I was going to use the wellness centre but it looked very tired and unkempt and so didn't bother. I guess it's end of season and the hotel closes very soon and sure it will be revamped for next year. All in all it was a lovely relaxed spot, very quiet which was exactly what we wanted. With attentive staff and great food and drinks.

The hotel was excellent. We had a sea view room overlooking the quiet bay with incredible sunsets every night. The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing, as was food served at the pool bar. Highly recommend Barceló Portinatx for those looking for a quiet stay. Staff also incredibly friendly. Hired a car for a few days so able to get out and see the sights also. Great weeks holiday to Ibiza!

Fantastic!

It’s a nice hotel but needs something to liven it up a bit. Completely dead after 9pm at nights. Bar closed by 10pm and no entertainment at nights. No music by the pool areas. You were nearly scared to talk as everyone would be listening. Nice rooms and good maid service. Reception staff and porters were all lovely. It’s just lacking some va va voom. The lift was broken so we had to walk 4 times a day up and down. If you’re not fit, you WILL struggle!! If you pay for a jacuzzi room make sure it’s not 3601, the view is of a block of apartments that tower over you.

We absolutely loved this place! The staff were amazing and attended to every need. The view from the rooftop was unbeatable and the hotel is in great walking distance to major attractions! Will definitely be back when we visit Barcelona again!

The hotel is elegant and situated in what I think is the best part of Portinatx. It is in a quite area and there is a lovely bay with a beach just opposite. Some reviewers preferred a larger bay closer to the centre of town; however, at least in mid-July when we were there, this larger bay was overcrowded while the beach at the Barcelo Hotel was far quieter. The hotel complex is large but is divided into three buildings and is spread over a large area and, thus, we never felt that the hotel was crowded. Our room was sea-facing, which allows one to enjoy spectacular sunsets, if one is at the hotel at the right time. The room was large and very comfortable. The choice of cooked and continental breakfast was extensive and of excellent quality. A nice touch was the selection of free beverages and fresh fruit at the hotel reception. We were also impressed by the kindness and professionality of all personnel at the hotel, from cleaners, to waiters to the hotel managers. We are happy to strongly recommend the Barcelo Hotel for a stay in Portinatx.
