GBA wonderful, small family owned and run hotel just 10 minutes walk from Damascus Gate in the Old City - down a very quiet. cul de sac. An old Jerusalem edifice which has recently been totally modernised. Bedrooms have a modern "vibe" within a traditional setting. We stayed in Room 107 which was lovely - complete with a very modern en-suite. Exceptionally clean, very comfortable bed and good quality linens. The staff are very friendly and helpful; nothing is too much trouble. It boasts a great, relaxed restaurant. Not only is excellent traditional Middle Eastern fare available, they also boast (slightly incongruously) probably the finest Pizzas in Jerusalem - coming from a genuine, wood-fired Italian Pizza Oven. Local people come from miles around just to eat them. The Breakfast buffet (and egg statin) is both good and generous.

BEVery friendly staff that will help with everything (for us finding a driver to Jericho). Comfortable room with airco. Daily fresh water. Very good Palestinian breakfast. Hotel restaurant also very good. Moslim neighbourhood close to Damascus gate and the old city. Very safe.
The curtains are not thick enough to close the light. Airco was making some noise.
TRGBWe liked it mainly. Staff were helpful in a small way. Restaurant was a little slow but the pizzas we had pretty okay. Enormous though! Balcony was a nice touch, even if the view was a little poor. We missed breakfast the first day but the lady accommodated us. And we were given a gift when we left. Also, we left our jackets in the wardrobe which they kept so we picked up on the way back.
It isnt the nicest part of Jerusalem, so don't expect too much around there but it is close to the Old City. TV was a little...shonky. Kind of illegal-ish streams and weird filmed in the cinema type thing.

ZAI was surprised by a plate of fresh fruit on arrival in the room and a bottled water every day. Lovely buffet breakfast and very helpfull staff especially Issam. The hotel is within walking distance to Herod's and Damascus Gate.
The hair dryer wasn't working.
RUOn the plus side, the breakfast provided at the hotel was excellent. There was a good selection of items, and the quality of the food was great. The staff responsible for breakfast service were also friendly and accommodating.
The hotel was a little bit cold in winter. While there were heaters in the room, they didn't seem to be sufficient to keep the room warm enough during the colder nights. This made the stay a bit uncomfortable, and I had to wear multiple layers of clothing to stay warm.
