"Quiet accommodatio in historic New Town Edinburgh"

6.0

Chose hotel due to great location and proximity to daughters flat. As stated it Is very much a townhouse, converted, with steep stairs, no eating area/lounge and need for own set of keys. Attic room (one of two, shared bath) was not for tall people with steeply sloping ceiling in bathroom, vinyl floor, a bit clacketty, and heavy fire door to the bedroom which slammed shut noisily at night and required keys for even quick trip to bathroom. Small issues: basin plug off chain, hard to locate bedside light switch, lack of bedside table, biscuits not replaced, no decaf tea or coffee on offer. However, friendly staff, warm room compared with student digs and I would consider staying again, in another room preferably.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Great little hotel. Friendly staff, clean room, lovely georgian townhouse. Only negative is mental check in and check out times. You can only check in at 3pm and have to check out at 10am, they have no facility to mind your bags (unless there is a room spare)

"central Edinburgh"

8.0

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location, central Edinburgh. The room was really comfortable and large and the staff very friendly. There are a few stairs (it's on the third floor) but nothing too difficult and the manager even came down to help with my bag. Only issue was the shower was temperamental. Hot water for a shower at night but in the mornings didn't seem to be enough hot water.

"Good value"

8.0

The Townhouse was fine for an overnight stay / theatre visit. A lot of stairs if you aren't mobile. Orders a good discount if you want brunch at a trendy nearby hotel / bar but close to cheaper alternatives if you don't want to take advantage of all you can eat.

"weekend break"

10.0

I stayed in the single room which has an en suite. The bed was very comfortable and they had very kindly put the heating on for arrival. Perfect size and the hotel itself was in a great location, only a 10 minute walk from the train station.

"Great location, Great Service but Hard to Access"

6.0

Enjoyed Edinburgh very much. The hotel does need to be more explicit about the difficulty in reaching the rooms when one as limitations. A sore back or legs (travelers complaints) and you're done. Definitely not for the elderly, unfit, tired or faint of heart.

"Edinburgh townhouse- great hotel"

10.0

Absolutely lovely hotel in a fab location. Lots of stairs but they pre warn you about them. In some rooms you have to share the bathroom but that wasn't as bad as we expected. Can't fault this hotel at such a good price!
