"Would happily stay here again"

10.0

Great location, neat and clean room, Val was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The only thing I can really fault was the tiny bathroom which was hard to move around in post-shower without the bathroom door open.

"Convenient and clean hotel"

8.0

Very clean room. Very helpful staff. Location ok. Can’t help storing luggage after check-out which makes a little bit inconvenient. Overall a good place to stay in Edinburgh.

"A room with a view"

8.0

It is a guest house, we shared a shower room with small sink and loo. No lift so be prepared as we were on the fifth floor. Had a lovely stay, very friendly and centrally located very near to castle. Parking very expensive. However if you visit the castle you can get your Carl parking reduced if parking in castle car park. The charge was £27.50 we paid £10.00. Very nice break.

"Great location!"

8.0

Great location 2 blocks from Rose Street & far enough away to be private and quiet. No elevator so make sure you can climb stairs :). The townhouse is old which added to the charm of our stay. Coffee shops, restaurants, pubs & shopping nearby. We walked everywhere throughout Edinburgh.

"“Looking for the best place to stay in Edinburgh?"

10.0

A 300 year old townhouse in the heart of Edinburgh, this place was perfect. Walking distance from Waverly Train Station(came south from London) and walking distance to everything; The Royal Mile, The Castle, the Grassmarket area, shopping on George and Princes street and really close to the amazing, pub filled, Rose lane. Todd and Val were perfect hosts and I would stay there again in a heart beat. Btw, Thanks to Todd for suggesting the Ox(ford) pub a nice break from all the tourist filled pubs.

"Good"

6.0

The room was small, but okay. The bathroom was shared between 5 people on the floor and there was a lot of waiting. The hotel manager seemed busy with other things and didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered with answering questions about the area. It was a decent location, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this hotel to friends.

"disappointing but a nice view of the castle"

4.0

Rude, uncomfortable, very compact room. Very noisy ar night, a couple of bars down below. Bathroom like a closet, no water pressure, toilet seat loose.
