I loved this little hideaway right in the heart of Edinburgh. Close to everything, day and night. I will definitely stay here again!

"50/50"

8.0

Nice location, view and bed was comfortable those are all I can say I really liked, and we had the biggest and best room in the place. Have to haul luggage up stairs to the 4th floor. Room had no table or anything to put luggage or anything on just a tiny bedside which was cluttered with tea and coffee stuff. The shower was very cheap and outdated and uses an instahot mounted to the wall in the shower which was very small and the sink was tiny. In my opinion it was overpriced as out of 4 hotels I used on my vacation to both Glasgow and edinburgh it was the most expensive and had the least amenities. Parking was a 15 min walk away. However the owners were nice and helpful with questions about the city when they were there which is only a couple hours a day. If they updated the bathrooms and put in a desk, dresser or even something that folds down it would have been a nicer stay.

It was clean and comfortable and adequate for my short stay. I don't expect bathrooms to be large; however, this one was ridiculously small even for a smallish person like myself.

"Good location, many stairs"

8.0

The room was clean and quiet. Wifi was good. The location was within walking distance of the main areas of Edinburgh. We could see the castle from the front of the hotel. Five flights of stairs to get to reception! Then two more to get to our room. We knew that going in, but it was difficult with heavy suitcases. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would stay there again.

Cozy and quiet rooms on the upper floors of a walk up. Rooms are tidy, clean and comfortable. Only really in it to rest, sleep and clean up; and perfect for that. Many shops, restaurants, coffee shops and stores within a few block radius. Just two blocks up from Princess Street, where all buses run, and a short 15 min walk from train station. Short 20 minute stroll to Royal mile and Castle. Centrally located in every sense of the word.

Great central location and just off the Main Street so middle of town convenience with non-high street souls levels. Loved the natural light coming in through the big windows in the afternoon. The bathroom was updated, clean, felt upscale. And biscuits every day left in the room after it had been cleaned. Friendly front desk and knowledgeable to boot.

"Perfect location for a city break"

10.0

My friend and I stayed here in the top floor twin room for 2 nights during Fringe Festival/Tattoo. The location was perfect, close enough to everything but far enough away that it was peaceful. The lady who runs the townhouse has a wealth of local knowledge which she is more than keen to share to make your stay even better. The room was spacious, clean and well presented (at 6’3’ my friend had to mind his head but otherwise it was perfect). We’ve already discussed coming to stay again next year to revisit the delight that is Edinburgh!
