"Excellent"

Overall a pleasant room. I didn't see any staff because of my arrival time but there was nobody around when I left in the morning either. There are no breakfast facilities although they do offer a 15% discount at a nearby restaurant. This was an issue for me as the restaurant opens at 8.30am & I had to start a course at 9am so had to find somewhere open at 8am where I could eat

"Up the golf. Just somewhere to sleep."

Small room at top of 88 stairs with shared bathroom. Very clean. Thought the price was a lot for what we got. Coffee in room undrinkable

"Sir Walter Scott's old house."

Basic accommodation, but it's an old historic house. No lift but they hadn't been invented 300 years ago. Owners great. Very near town centre. Highly recommended.

"Outstanding location, but very small and cramped"

Outstanding Edinburgh central location. Quite clean and modern, but very small and cramped, and the walk up the stairs to the top floor is really difficult and strenuous with luggage.

"Nice cozy clean room for a single."

The room was just right for a single. Nice and airy with the windows open. The location was great. Those with some mobility issues should take note that it’s up several flights of stairs with no elevator.

"Cute, comfortable and clean rooms at a good price"

Edinburgh Townhouse is situated right in the heart of New Town, a short walk from all the sights. The view of Edinburgh Castle from in front of the hotel is amazing. We stayed in room #8, which is at the top of the house, is very cute, clean, and warm, and has a nice view over the rooftops. The bathroom is excellent: pretty and clean with great water flow from the shower head. The staff there was very helpful, providing us with a map and pointing out a good restaurant and grocery nearby. It’s also a very safe hotel: I was provided with a key to the front door, a key to the hotel floors, and a key to my room. Very happy with this hotel.
