Grand Hotel Rinascimento

This hotel lived up to its name of 'Grand' with its design and architecture from another age. Our very large room was situated on the top floor and was accessed from the most amazing circular landing. Nearby was a roof terrace with spectacular views over Campobasso and the surrounding countryside. The view was particularly impressive the next morning with clouds below the tops of the nearby hills. Our one night stay was in the middle of May and it appeared that the hotel was not yet ready for visitors. Our room was quite cold and many of the lighting's bulbs were not working. A bedside lamp had no plug. The staff were very welcoming and most helpful, making every effort to switch on the heating, replace bulbs, and fitting a plug. On going to the restaurant for dinner, we found it in darkness, but again the staff were most helpful in providing us with an excellent meal. An enjoyable stay, and we will long remember the hotel for its amazing architecture, wonderful murals, and helpful staff.

They are becoming more of an event center. Lovely views from the terrace gazebo. We had a privately prepared luncheon of typical Molise cuisine. Delicious! The location is not ideal for walking to any sites, but driving is easy.

Overall excellent stay and outstanding staff. Beds are a bit hard to my taste. Food was very good.

Bonne qualité du service. Les chambres sont grandes avec internet et la télé par satellite. La chambre était propre.

Partiamo dalle cose positive: Colazione; abbondante, ampia scelta, ottimi i dolci. Personale; il pochissimo personale e' stato gentile e disponibile. Stanza: grande e spaziosa, con bel panorama. E ora alle cose negative che riguardano anche la valiutazione e le informazioni che da Expedia. L'hotel non e' assolutamente un 4 stelle, nemmeno col binocolo le vede le 4 stelle. Il personale, gentile e' poco, praticamente ... 1. La stessa persona fa da reception, ti parcheggia l'auto, ti serve la colazione. Il wireless e' inesistente, non c'e' segnale, nelle stanze non funziona o meglio non c'e' proprio. L'hotel e' solo parzialmente albergo, in verita' il fine settimana fitta la sala al primo piano per feste private. A me e' capitato una festa di ragazzi con musica tecno fino alla 1,30. Non era molto piacevole. Inoltre l'allarme antincendio scattava ogni 5 minuti (probabilmente nella sala della festa fumavano a piu' non posso facendo scattare il dispositivo antifum.) Insomma riposo zero assoluto, avro' dormito 3 ore scarse, alle 7,30 del mattino sono andato via e dubito tornero' mai piu'.

Great and helpfull staff. Travelled with 91 year old person. The staff went out all the way for our comfort. Even offered free water at departure and greated us with an espresso upon arrival.

Ok hotel, probably best or good value in area.

For your standard European hotel, this room was much larger than normal and had excellent service from all of the staff. When in Campobasso again, I will definitely be staying here.
