Mooie uitzichten, heel rustig, weinig tot geen verkeer, zeer ruime kamers en geserveerd ontbijt.

Absolutely beautiful hotel - room was very impressive - large, clean and very comfortable. Pool was fantastic as were the staff. Highly recommended.

Very nicely presented property, decor is stylish and the room was very well equipped. Host was very helpful and booked us a meal at a local restaurant (as we were too late to order the set dinner at the hotel which has to be before 12). We pre-choose our breakfast the night before, which is a great idea and saves waste. Lovely poolside area.

The description of the hotel was of a country retreat. The price felt relatively high for rural Portugal - the most expensive of our trip and we stayed in some beautiful places. The impression we had from the pictures was of spacious grounds in the country. Our room actually was at ground level directly on to the road in the village so we could not have the curtains open. We had booked a double room - it was actually 2 separate beds, separately made pushed together. We had to fill in a paper choosing exact basic breakfast choices the day before even down to whether we wished for butter or not and state a time of 9 or 9.30 This didn't feel relaxing. The breakfast was fine but not as good as some of the more basic hotels we stayed at. We ate evening meals which were pleasant but not great or generous with a 'surprise' menu which meant no choice other than dietary - and didn't include water or bread without additional payment again in contrast to other hotels. Exactly the same bottle of wine was almost double the price paid at the restaurant we had eaten in the previous evening As others have stated everything required extra payment via an honesty bar system for example to make yourself a cup of tea cost over 3 euros.
